I agree with the above, the second one seems to have the most natural look to it.

Here is another one that I have done. Hopefully it's not obvious that i'm a huge fan of S3D . I will start off with the critiques on this one. I should have put a glow around each individual sphere as I was building them in each layer before merging layers. I didn't think about the fact that I couldn't go back and do that later (without it taking quite a long time). Oh well, a learning experience and we move on.

Yes they are. I have tried other programs before, and when you first start up it is a little overwhelming. But, I have found the support and guidance on this forum to be excellent. Thank You. Oh and I created my first Avatar ever using PDN, it's over on.....well, on my avatar.

I really like the first two, but the first one catches my eye for sure. Would love to see how you accomplished that.

Thank you both very much. The last two were kind of accidents. On the second to last I went through the Optical Illusion tutorial and then hit it with the 3D plugin and like that enough to remove the optical illusion from the background. On the last one (which is my favorite so far) I just started with Gradient bars straight up and down, then added Gradient bars at a sharp angle in the same layer, then recolored with Curves, put it all in 3D, drop shadowed, dented, zoom blurred and ended up with that. So far I am really enjoying this program.

Hi everyone. I just started learning to use Paint.net, or any design program for that matter. At first I was completely lost, but went through a number of the tutorials which were great.
