  2. Hi There, I have slowly but surely been learning about Paint.net and have been going through several tutorials -wich by the have been very helpful - thanks to all of you who took the time to write them . What is the best way to create a realistic wet liquid look? What I want to do is put blood dripping from around the man's mouth, lips and chin. I am doing this for a Dark fantasy type website - keep in mind i don't want it to look too gory, But however the effect i am really looking for is not simply bloodstains but fresh blood can anybody tell me what technique they would use to get this effect? I would put in the picture I want to apply this to but I got the error message "You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file" ???. Any help and input is greatly appreciated
  3. Actually I was going for more of a silvery overlay with a glow to the eyes.....but you have given me a wonderful idea to work with ! Thank you very much.
  4. I apologize in advance if I have this under the wrong forum Today I learned a lot on how to work the Paint.net. Thanks to all of you who took the time to create and post the tutorials and all of you who added on to them - it helped me out a lot when there was something I didn't understand. Wanted to get your honest opinions on what I've done so far and ask a slightly far-fetched question My question is this - can I put a mirror-like overlay on my subjects eyes without taking away anything from the color and character of my subject? I tried with the wavy mirror effect but it didn't turn out. I am trying to turn this actor into a very scary yet sexy vampire ( I'm trying for something a little different). I know I need to do a lot of touching-up but am not sure as to what is the best technique. I did lighten his skin using the "colored eye" technique...I think I need to lighten it up more. Another question - How do I get a realistic blood spatter look (wet liquid look)? Any help (or even criticizim) is greatly appreciated
  5. I looked in the forum index but did not find a plug in for Alpha Mask. I did a search for it but came up with a lot of old posts.
  6. I've done a extensive search but am still not sure if I have the right thing. I saw the post from about a month ago but didn't see the plug in itself . Found one but not using it yet (version 2.0). I don't know if I've been up too long and might of missed something please let me know . Thank You in advance for your time
  7. Thank You very much for your advice it will be very helpful
  8. Good Morning (afternoon, evening) What I am trying to do with this project is to: 1. start off with a black background. Paint in a night sky or dark cave for the background. 2. Take a photo of a man that has been cut-out from an original photo (how to cut it without any original background) 3. paste it onto my background 4. take my photo of the man and turn him into a scary vampire ( I know thats going to be a challenge, especially if his skin color is tanned) - on this last one I think I know how to change skin color without erasing any details, but I need to know whats the best way to change eye color (make glowing eyes)? 5. don't worry about the teeth - I found a tutorial on that. Do you want to see the photo I want to work on? Am I biting off more than I can chew with this project for a newbie? Any advice or input is helpful Thank You in advance
  9. Just to let you know I did do a search on this subject but nothing came up: I put in "change skin color" in the search. Isn't there a way where I could do a color switch? Change one color for another using the color picker?
