  1. Yeah it is a pretty sig, love the colors. I enter my monochromatic set: Signature: Avatar:
  2. I used elipses, I made an abstract wallpaper and then took a 500 x 150 section of it and made it into a signature, thanks . Oh I'll try to get working on the Captain America Tut soon, once I decide to stop being so lazy . And btw, love the new sig
  3. By brushes, do you mean CustomMiniBrushes? Or am I missing something? D:
  4. Oh, sorry . I'll try to make one when I'm done with my homework, although I can't promise the same results, most of my work is done with random experimenting and I usually forget how I do stuff. And yeah they are pretty similar, I just couldn't get a background I was satisfied with .
  5. How do you do the cool circles in a lot of your backgrounds? Is that all just done using the ellipse tool?
  6. Any feedback on the Wallpapers? (Sorry that you have to use a link, I'm still trying to iron that out)
  7. Sfifer: 3 Keith Cancel: 0 I agree with N00Bz and Rookking, Keith's is cluttered and doesn't draw your eye to a specific spot, which is a must-have for a render sig. Edit: Plus, Keith, try to have a little bit more courtesy and follow the rules. Even if you had been nice and done like everyone else, I still would've voted for Sfifer's, but being rude doesn't exactly help peoples' opinions of you. Just a little constructive criticism to help you in life, no hard feelings? Stock: http://wallpapersdepot.com/wallpapers/the-american-flag-1440x900.jpg (I think I accidentally used the thumbnail version though :\) Fonts: http://www.dafont.com/search.php?q=seeing+stars&text=I&psize=l (Used for the star) I can't remember the text font, but I doubt you need that, I just made sure you knew where the star came from (Although recoloring it was a tad tricky) I enter with my current sig:
  8. Possibly, if I can remember how I made it
  9. Thanks TFPrime . And yeah Howler I was thinking the same thing, I just wish the 1st version wasn't so pixelated, I should probably work on that, but I'm too lazy
  10. Sfifer:1 N00Bz:0 I like em both, I just like Sfifer's subject matter better. It's more of a personal preference really, y'all both did an outstanding job IMHO
  11. TheHowler: 1 Rookking:0 I like em both almost equally, but TheHowler has a little bit more detail, and I like the way he placed his font.
  12. @Balance I rarely use stock images. Only for really subtle things like things for the background that I make nearly transparent. If noone is going to post one, I guess I will. I used a stock image of an American Flag, but everything else is PDN (Granted, I used fonts and a "Wingding" font or whatever you call it for the star) Signature: Avatar:
  13. Which of the 2 "Signature 6"s do y'all like better? 1st Version: 2nd Version:
  14. That's actually pretty cool, the only thing I might change is to make the font a TINY bit smaller so it doesn't kind of run into the twist, great font selection though
  15. I think it's Kemaru vs Me, correct me if I'm wrong
  16. Actually, I think I just left the canvas white instead of painting it black, that probably made the difference.
  17. And, no offense guys, but can you please give some other people (Like me) a chance to put an entry before you put another?
  18. Yeah that could be it, and that version is a little bit better, although they're semi-transparent, was that intentional?
  19. Noobz: 4 Balance:0 Sfifer:0 TFPrime:0 I'm gonna have to go with Noobz on this one. I'd like Balance's a lot if it were A:Smaller (Although that's not hard to fix) and B: The color scheme flowed better. If it was, for instance, 2 Different complimentary shades of blue, it would flow a lot better. Sfifer's I'm sure was pretty hard to make, but I'd like it better if there was a nice, subtle background, like a very light gray design or something. TFPrime, that's pretty good for only being 11 years old, but I'm not a huge fan of the colors, and it's kind of simple, yet too busy at the same time. Keep working and I'm sure you'll get better
  20. @Gekko Pretty good, although the dark red kind of blends in with the dark background, try to give it a little more contrast so it "Pops" and attracts the eye. If you really want the dark red, you could either use gradient bars of something lighter, say, white and light grey, or light gray and medium gray. Or, if you like dark red and black, you could maybe add a very small white or brighter red drop shadow to the trees to kind of "separate" them from the background. Not bad for a first try though @Sfifer Yeah Probably, but that's the way I did it and I was trying to get it as close as possible to what I had (Which, unfortunately, it is quite different). It almost looks better kind of stretched out that way though, because if it was the same proportions it might have more "Empty" space, but I'm not sure. Feel free to experiment. I'm not sure why my signature is much lighter than the one I made for the tutorial, and I like the lighter one better, but, like I said, this tutorial is very much up for experimentation.
  21. There we go, I made a tut, It's not exact but it's similar, check it out! -
