  1. Honestly, I have no clue how this happened, but I like it. I do know that there's a sepia layer set to Color Burn, somewhere in there. XD Thanks for the awesome tut!

(I'm beginning to see a green theme in my stuff lately....)

  2. Posting here, so I don't clutter up your Gallery.

I've run into a problem with the Circle Text more than once. It seems to crash quite a bit. Could that be my computer, or a PDN problem?

EDIT: btw, I finally did something I like. It's using a picture I took on vacation a few years ago, and using the Rain Drop tut.

  3. Thanks for the True Blur link, I couldn't for the life of me locate it. ><

For the Radial and Zoom Blurs, I did see the links in your tuts, but I got a "Page No Longer Exists" message for both of them. Are there perhaps other versions somewhere?

btw, I just noticed Wild Weed. That is amazing! I got caught up in your Hidden Gallery, I totally spaced the visible one. *brain blank* lol

  4. Awesome, thank you very much. I'll try that and see what I come up with. ^_^

For the jewel tut, it's fine and easy to follow. I just haven't come up with anything I'm happy with yet. I can't get the Radial and Zoom Blur Deluxes, so I'm working with the regular ones. Also (and I mentioned this in Helen's tut as well) I don't have the True Blur, so my orb/jewel highlight does look quite right to me. But I'm sure I'll get down with practice. ^_^

    Thanks again!

  5. barbieq, I've been looking through your gallery, and everything is so beautiful. ^_^ I'm working on following your jewel tutorial, though I haven't had much success yet. Nothing I'd show, that is. lol

But I'm curious. I love the stained-glass type pictures you did (in the Older Works part), like Art Deco Plum, Feathered Star, and Lucky 13. Do you have a tutorial for that style? I would love to experiment with that style! :)

  6. @Moninca: What a lovely orb! I love how you added your twist to the bottom part of it by using the crystallize effect. You may want to get rid of the jaggies, but it's great nonetheless.

Thanks very much. ^_^ I considered softening the crystalizing, but once it's shrunk down to avi size, it all blurred together anyway. But for the full-sized version, I definitely agree with you.

    Thanks as well, barbieq25. :)

  7. I read the Pictorum rules, but I just want to be sure I understand something before I create something:

I'd like to create a gallery, not really to show off my work, but to track my progress as I practice. I can create one thread like that, correct? And just edit the first post when I make a new image? But I can only bump the thread myself (if I do at all), once per 24 hours, correct?

Thank you in advance. Don't want to start off my time here by breaking the rules. ^_^

  8. Maybe someone could help me out here. I can't seem to get any brushes to load. I downloaded several from Brusheezy. I unzip them with no problems, but when I go to the CBM to use them, it tells me the folders are empty. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I know I've done it before, but that was probably 1-2 years ago, on a different computer. Any help would be great. ^_^

  9. Hi there. Was messing around for a contest on another forum, and used your tutorial to come up with this:

In order to get it, after doing the Julia fractal, I clicked the transparent outside, inverted the selection, then used a Nebula Color Fill. Then I followed your directions from there. Came out kind of neat. ^_^ Thanks for the tut!

  10. Is it possible to change my PDN settings, so that I can save as a .png without flattening my work? I'm working on a project for a site, and am having issues. I'm hoping if this part is possible, it might solve my problem.

I'm a fairly new user, and I'm working with v3.5.8, and Windows Vista. Thanks very much. ^_^
