Simple question: If I draw a 2" diameter circle using the shapes tool, how do I get it to print a 2" diameter circle on the printer?

Simple question: If I draw a circle on the screen that is 2" in diameter, how do I print it so that it comes out at 2" in diameter on the printer?

I don't kn ow what I'm doing wrong. The paint brush does not work no matter what color or size chosen???
