  1. Well done Maximilian, well done all and thanks Chimay!
  2. Thanks for the votes! Thanks Pixey for hosting. Well done all that entered - it was a tricky subject . Cc4, Pixey and Maximillian made a good job of the cubist theme and racerx, skullB and Riddley had a different take but made some great images!
  3. Always a pleasure to see your new creations Seerose!
  4. Thanks Cc4 - happy trees! - I do hope so. Many thanks Pixey - I'm an Escher fan, so very complimented - think what he could have done with Pdn! Helen - Experimenting with 'cuboids' made me think of Fritz Lang's 'Metropolis', so I tried something along those lines. Many thanks for commenting! johnnysdream - many thanks! Seerose - Thank you, I'll have that beer later.
  5. Thanks for this Midora! - only just tried it. Both Filetype and 'AnimateIt' Effect installed and work well. However I was confused as to why the duration layer commands did not work! - but realised the problem.... I also have the old .agif file type installed and was accidentally saving in that format. (AnimateIt played them perfectly though!). To avoid confusion I will be deleting the old Simon Brown 'AnimGIF.dll'. I thought it maybe worth mentioning when you officially publish.
  6. Good colour choices, gives it glassy feel with some early Mondrian in there too! Thanks for posting the image
  7. - I had to... perhaps it needs a washing line too. Thanks for commenting.
  8. Impressive spacescapes Warpdrive! R van den Berg - I think you can lay off the diet now! - clever photo-manipulation. I made this using 'Cuboids' - 642 by 800 pix, I think that's ok?
  9. Good work Seerose! (I haven't tried Midora's animation plugins yet. It is very encouraging to see what you and others have made using them)
  10. Hello Richard, Try thishttp://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=27937 You can make your own brush shapes (as .pngs) or download and adapt PS brushes to use with it.
  11. The amplifier is very impressive! You must have some patience to stick with a tutorial that long - great result though.
  12. Excellent image Mottoman, many thanks for posting it. & Sasha, bad hair day or not, you look good!
  13. That looks great Sasha! - thanks for posting it. (Is it you or Cleopatra? ) I'll catch up on the reps eventually.
  14. Thank you for posting the images Seerose and Pixey (unfortunately I've used all my 'reps' for today). Cool psychedellic eye Pixey! - psychocolour?
  15. You need to have Windows service pack 1 installed - if you don't, try running windows update, then try installing again.
  16. Good to see you making use of 'cuboids', Seerose!
  17. A colourful effect well explained - thank you!
  18. Many thanks for posting the image TR! (out of reps till later) This one is very similar to 'facet' in the code, except that linear gradient brushes weren't needed. Thanks again for your help on that one!
  19. I hadn't written it earlier! Trying to make an image for that comp convinced me that this was worth writing! - I'm glad it was not available for the comp though, as there are some excellent imaginative entries with a more classically cubist look. Thanks for posting the image too
  20. Sorry, No! That sounds blunt! - the way that those two draw lines is completely different to the way that most effects work (it doesn't use the 'G.D.I+')*. An effect could be made using the 'G.D.I.+' with variable width lines but it would be more of a render (using the source image colours) than a blur. Also, lines drawn with the 'G.D.I.+' tend to go a bit 'crazy' with short lengths and high widths - and it's slower too. Thanks for enquiring though! - I see you have made good use of Furblur in some of your images. * A premade library of commands to 'draw' shapes and lines.
  21. Thanks for posting the images Drew and Oceana! Glad it works on Pdn4, Remake. Thanks for the feedback (the code is very close to that of 'Facet' so I chanced it! ).
  22. ::keywords::Cubes|cubism|extrude|cuboid|3D|buildings|perspective|isometric|oblique|box|frame ::Menu::Effects/Iterative lines ::Original release date::21st March 2015 ::Author::Red ochre (John Robbins) ::dll name:: Cuboids Works on Pdn 3.5.11 and should work on Pdn4+ 'Cuboids' - you can get an ointment for them! A counterpart to 'Facets', turns an image into rectangular areas with added depth. The effect is adjustable between simple pixelating and one point perspective images resembling tower blocks. With the nadir control at the edge of its range it can produce isometric or oblique projections too. This is now in my v10 plugin pack here:Red ochre v10 plugin pack Some example images below. Please post any pictures you make with it in this thread! Enjoy.
