  1. Hello All I am looking to discuss the idea of morphing space! I would like to do what other advanced programs do by assigning points to an image and then morph/tranpose those points to another space with the same number of defined points. As a very crude geometric example if I have a 5-pointed star and want to transpose those 5 defined points onto an ellipse with 5 similarly defined points, what might be your approachbe to execute this function. Does anybody care to create and application/extension pack, or write the code for such a function? Does anyone know of a method of steps to create this transition process? (See Two Accompaning JPEGS) A vastly more complex situation, but one that continually is used it graphic arts applications would be to morph or transpose the spacial dimensions of one image into those of a second image which is assigned the same set of spacial definitions. For example, if I wanted to morph the image of one object say a young persons face, into that of an oder persons face (possibly and entirely different individual/image), could this be done by creating a matrix space for one image, and defining a series of key locations within that space, and then transposing the whole image into another image, which has the identical number of defined locations within the exact same matrix space. This is a very common, and well established concept within the graphic arts, and computer science world, but I don't know of any instances of this being done with PDN. Please feel free to contribute and share your experience. Thanks for your comments!!!!
  2. Please accept my apologies for not being considerate, or clear enough with my intial question. I am looking to produce simple animations using paint dot net... perhaps with as little as only six frames... (see optical illusions - either here: or here : )However, I need to save the file as an accepted file type (see bottom) or something that can be converted, as with the AVS file converter... When I do convert the .agif to .avi -> all the black type (font, outlines, pixels, etc.) becomes part of the video black screen and rendered "invisible" or black backscreen... Even the white type portions sometimes become heavily pixelated and, i've noticed in effects-> render -> 3D shape (full sphere)... the light source is converted into black backscreen as well... very troublesome stuff... It was my assumption (of course its wrong) that the .avi file type was a commonly used means of parsing animation/video files... however it appears that it is no longer currently supported ??? What about .asf or .dat or .flv ??? I am familiar with .agif... i've used it well... however i'm looking to do a few other things, and it would be nice if I could get a little better resolution quality... Another instance is generating a Screensaver (file type .scr)... is that even possible using Paint Dot Net ??? Thank you for your assistance... I really love this open source application... and enjoy learning from others in this forum... and I promise if I can learn to make this work... I will post a tutorial, demonstrating my success in an approved tutorial location Thank You Again For Your Help ! (accepted file types below) 3g2 (Mobile Video) 3gp (Mobile Video) 3gpp (Mobile Video) asf (Windows Media Video) avi (AVI Video) dat (MPEG Video) divx (DIVX Video) dv (DV Video) f4v (Flash Video) flv (Flash Video) m2ts (M2TS Video) m4v (MPEG-4 Video) mkv (Matroska Format) mod (MOD Video) mov (QuickTime Movie) mp4 (MPEG-4 Video) mpe (MPEG Video) mpeg (MPEG Video) mpeg4 (MPEG-4 Video) mpg (MPEG Video) mts (AVCHD Video) nsv (Nullsoft Video) ogm (Ogg Media Format) ogv (Ogg Video Format) qt (QuickTime Movie) tod (TOD Video) ts (MPEG Transport Stream) vob (DVD Video) wmv (Windows Media Video)
  3. Hello, I wanted to create an animated file to display the motion of my image... let's say we want to make a graphic which represents something similar to a neon sign... which suggests apparent motion... much like the famous waving cowboy Vegas Vic, located in las vegas, nv... which appears to wave his hand at onlookers and passers by... This effect is something I have been able to do with the Animated GIF file extension, however not all locations accept this file type... So, I downloaded the .AVI file type extension thinking it would be rather simple to figure out... but I was wrong... If you would like to make a simple step by step comment... or wanna do the video demonstraton (popularized on youtube.com or other sites) please share your wisdom... In short, I'm not sure how to properly set up my layout for the multiple layers, and then save the image as an .avi (instead of .png ; .ani ; etc. ) thank you for your help !
