  1. I also feel this way, always fixing what isn't broken. I suggest you do what Red and Eli suggested you do. Thankfully for my sanity I did this a long time ago. Unfortunately quite a few plugins that I use a lot do not work in the newer versions of PDN and a few built in ones work differently than they have in the older versions. I honestly try to use the new version of PDN from time to time but always give up because something is missing, or does not work the same, or the still occasional crash of the program. Frankly it is quite annoying. A couple plugins that I use frequently in the old version that do not work in the newest versions, are Radial Blur Deluxe, Polar Inversion Deluxe, Jumble, and the Mirror effect no longer mirrors top over bottom or bottom over top, it just flips the image over like the Flip Vertical tool under the Layers tab.
  2. First I apologize for not thanking you all sooner than this, I have been neglecting my duties in my old age. Thank you very much for the comments, Lynxster4, barbieq25, Maximilian, Drydareelin and Seerose. This time I added two optical illusions. In the first one you see a bunch of shapes that look like they are all crooked, or leaning. If you hold a ruler or straight edge up to them you will see they are perfectly straight and level. In the second one the top half is a mirrored image of the bottom half. Although it appears the bottom is indented or like crevices and the top looks protruding or like mountains, they are both the same image, just flipped over. Save a copy and when you view it, try flipping it over and you will see the same effect.
  3. Try duplicating the image of the stone and then use a blending mode on the top one and adjust the slider. Experiment with different modes and you might get what you are looking for.
  4. Thank you Toe, no rush. I didn't realize you could be busy, retirement does that, lol
  5. Not that I know of. You will have to use the manual way, each row on it's own layer.
  6. How about a rotation adjustment and maybe an option to do triangular shapes like a pyramid? This plugin has limited uses as is so these would be nice features to add if you are able to. I can do what this plugin does already by using the Shape 3D plugin, adding these features would make this a better option and have more uses.
  7. For people who preach unity and love thy neighbor you are awful quick to dismiss someone who thinks differently than yourselves. A very talented contributor at that.
  8. Need to make more money? With a name like that you can't blame me for asking, lol. The usual questions back at you would be which Windows are you using and which version of Paint.Net have you installed ?
  9. The half sphere map setting in Shape 3D could do this also without as many steps. Good job with this one though. How do you hide or blend the seam where the two halves meet?

  11. This might work too, TR's Alpha Cutter; http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=26966
  12. Art is not magic and PDN is not a mind reader. Some things you have to manually set, like saving files, otherwise how does the program know what to save it as? What's it take to do this? Maybe a couple more seconds, geesh.
  13. I like this plugin, real cool BoltBait. It serves the purpose real well, great job. Here is my first try at it.
  14. Thank you Helen, I was just thinking about him today. Welshblue was a smart man who did things with plugins that no one would think of. Unfortunately his honesty and opinions got him in hot water sometimes because as we all know, people can't handle the truth these days, lol. I learned a great deal from him but not as much as I would have liked. The "meshy" part of the radio was easy to make. I used Red Ochre's MultiSpline plugin to make the mesh and added some color. I just added another one of a pair of heart pendants. I used Shape 3D to make the two halves of the shell out of a pattern of heart shapes I assembled. Then I attempted to make them into a heart shape but couldn't get it quite right, but not bad. While making the hearts inside I decided to have baby blue and pink. Kind of a couple steps up from my first Barbieq25 tutorial on jewels.
  15. Another way that might be to add more RAM on your computer. 16gb of RAM here, I have hundreds of plugins installed, only wait a few seconds for PDN to come on.
  16. Thank you Barbie, ya I fired the maid after looking at the picture, lol. Thank you Seerose
  17. Actually for a newby it teaches them more to have to look for things. The more you search through the forum for anything, the more familiar you get with the forum and the faster you can find things. The same goes for finding different effects in the program. The more you have to look for the plugin you need the more familiar you get with the purpose of each category and why those plugins are where they are. Once this is learned you will find yourself automatically going to the category you need and find the right plugin at lightning speed. It's all part of the learning process, not how fast you get there.
  18. The forum is a fickle place these days, not easy to endure for some.
  19. At your wits end already? Try shutting off AVG antivirus before installing.
  20. I always knew you were a smart person BoltBait, I'm impressed, lol. He confused me with his question.
