good point thanks. i'm too used to dealing only with .jpg's.

You might want to save it as a PNG instead (at least until you've finished the image), otherwise you'll lose some quality.

i currently need to be able to edit a number of .PDF files (images actually). my current process is to open the file in IrfanView, save it as a .JPG, then open it in Paint.Net. Does anyone know of a way to get Paint.Net to read the .PDF file directly, or is anyone one interested in writing a plugin?
