  1. Very good. I just downloaded those plug-ins and will play around with them. Thanks for your advice!
  2. Thanks for checking it out! To me, it looks like both the PS and Picasa Auto-color don't have the brightness turned up as much and maintains better contrast. On the paint.net one, the original's black just outside of the circle went to a grayish pixelated black while the output of the other 2 seem quite similar to each other in their adjustments, not over adjusting. I understand every new & different image has unique characteristics that would affect overall adjustments needed, getting it to "good results", but I was just wondering if there was a plug-in/single auto solution in paint that used a similar formula as PS & Picasa that can achieve the same results. Thanks for your time! mados123
  3. Hey guys. I am trying to optimize an image in a simple way by applying an auto color or levels filter. I explained my situation in the link below, where paint.net's auto levels just don't look good when compared to Photoshop & Picasa's auto color output. You will see the pics in the link. Any suggestions? Thanks! mados123 http://forums.getpai...post__p__339118
  4. That's a good idea! I will see what other plugins are available. Thanks!
  5. Sarkut, Any reason or recommendation on how to have Paint.NET's auto levels output achieve the same results as Picasa's and Photoshop's auto color? Does auto levels do something different than auto color or are they the same? If not, is there a more accurate "auto color" plugin? Lastly, is there an auto contrast equivalence? Attached are the examples of the differences. Thank you so much, mados123 Attachments, left to right No auto adjust | paint.NET auto-levels | Photoshop auto color | Picasa auto color
  6. Good one! Any other suggestions in addition to Sarkut's excellent one?
  7. Excellent, Sarkut! I will play around with it more to see if I can get the edges to pop/be sharper (any suggestions are welcome). Have you heard of any ways to have a script applied via command, outside of paint.net? Say, right click in Windows Explorer, apply script or something like that? Cheers! mados123
  8. Hi guys. I have a question for anyone with special know how. I am trying to optimize an image grab from a video taken with a flexible, fiber optic endoscope. As you can see, there is a comb effect that is essentially the spacing between the fibers at the end of the fiber optic bundle. Higher end fiberscopes have a greater number of fibers, thereby decreasing the spacing (black comb effect). Within Photoshop, I applied color correction and a box blur effect to the seen attachment and got somewhat of a better picture but I am looking to use Paint.net and one or some effects that can remove the mesh, maintain/improve sharpness, color correct it and hopefully have it automated somehow. Any creative ideas how to accomplish this? With great appreciation for your time, mados123
