I have searched all terms in this topic title and found only one topic on this: i.e.
From that post, I learned that the checkered background is transparent and does not show up when printing or saving to other file formats (correct me if wrong by the way).
This is annoying. Evertime I select-and-move a group of pixels I'm getting checker boxes all over the place. Is there a way to remove these checker boxes from you're working drawing? (I.e. as in MS Paint where you can grab a white piece of the background and move it to cover what ever you want). Can I work in a different way to avoid this?
Cause:
I am entering different pieces of text using the Text tool - with a view to moving them around (for alignment among other visual reasons) and when I go to move them I get checker boxes every where. I want the pieces of text to be seperate as I want to draw arrows and boxes around different parts where maybe I can 'group' objects and move the group. Is PDN really designed for this kind of manipulation, or should I look to use another tool?
Coming to PDN from MS Paint, this problem ocurred within minutes and has caused me over an hour of reading and searching in the forum. Could it be worth a tutorial?
