i do know that type of cleaners you talk about i tried them out and would cause my computer to stumble around for a few minutes seemed real hard on computer because almost all over loads the memory to flush it out which makes the computer almost un-usable for a few minutes but this one runs in the task schuduler and calls on windows to do the cleaning so it doesn't do the cleaning windows does because its built into windows i babysat it for like 2 months after installing using Mark Russinovich Process Explorer and it only comes on when the task scheduler told it and only stays on for a second the only thing i had to put on the ignore list is window blinds because dragging explorer folders around it wouldnt show contents but i believe thats only because window blinds replaces some files like uxtheme.exe and a few more but loads into system memory also this has a optional notification icon that i never hide heres pic i just thought it was strange when it hit 50 percent memory use never seen before so i thought id say something i come everyday to the forum and try and follow the tutorials but even with all the plugins its still has a lot to do with art and skill ive tried almost all of the free graphic programs out there and didnt like none of them paint.net its the only one designed right in my book

i use it mostly because of firefox its notorious for memory leaking are you planning to tap into cuda like a lot of programs are doing nowadays like 1e9 and firefox ive read that Paint.NET is great with multiple cores but no mention of tapping into cuda thanks

hi i use a memory cleaner that calls on a window api to clean system memory every 15 minutes http://www.pcwintech.com/cleanmem and i had paint.net excluded from cleaning after working on a pic and flattening and saving after ten minutes i noticed memory use at 50 percent i never seen it that high before i have 4 gb i was just wondering if i should take it off the ignore list or leave it alone thanks

hi i installed the drop shadow plugin it has a installer but also comes with the drop shadow dll after running the installer do i have to install the drop shadow dll in the effects folder also thanks

is there a tutorial that i colud follow i tried the plugin it works if i make canvas size like 100 by 100 so if i resize to 10 by 10 it would mantain its shape but it just distorts it

thanks welsh blue i knew paint.net was capable of this which im glad as i have tried a dozen of other programs and none compare with this one its the polar plugin right and if i have any problems can i ask more questions

oh i found it its boltbaits plugin but i need the finished button to be w=90 h=22 by reduceing it distorts the image

yeah sarkut is right on with what i want to do but even then it leaves flat spots and where its going to be used it shows bad the comparison and heres the good one in use

yeah im making a button that has to be like w 90 h 26 i cant get away from having the pointed ends the one pic shows the one i made compared the the other

hi Ive tried a few color picker tools then took the number and pasted into palletes thats in paint.net user file always seem to make it transparent colors also tried adding ff before the number ive tried several codes but mostly stuck with HTML i hear that's the same as hex is there a free tool to grab colors off of webpages and screen and maybe paste into palletes im trying to get a few colors like gold or silver silver if i tried manually it might take me a month or possibly never so is there a free color picker tool that works well with paint.net thanks

hi is it suppose to be that a rounded rectangle lines are real crisp but holding shift and useing the line tool i have to erase a row of pixels on each side of the line but not with the rounded rectangle and i used the same settings for both thanks heres a pic http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/9367/pic001.png thanks in advance;)

yeah but using the line tool and deleting the line id be losing the pixels that make up the line say if line is 1 or 2 pixels thick that would make the finish product that much shorter or higher and if cutting into say 4 or 5 pieces every line i made across to disect it id be losing pixels so if it started at say 40 pixels wide putting a line and deleting it it would end up being like 38 or 39 pixels wide afterward i guess its possible i seen where someone said make it a whole piece then turn it into pieces but they were using photoshop
