The biggest unoffical psp demo site recommends pdn foR psp wallpaper editing and putting templates on. Thats what brought me to PDN a few years ago.

I believe this has been requested before, and personally i think its a great idea, maybe its being planned for PDN 4?

Wow... The inside of the vortex looks epic, and the outiside could even be like a rose tutorial, will definatly try this out. It looks cool with blues If someone showed me this before, i wouldent think it was PDN, pro stuff here.

Thanks everyone, i am currently working on a logo for AVH - Audio Visual Hire, any ideas??? I am going to create the simple led one used for imprints and signs etc tommorow but i still have no ideas for AVH. Pics pretty big, but it gets resized automatically :-) Here's the AVH one i was talking about, this is pretty good and may be the final one, any ideas welcome / advice aswell

You on the newest version of PDN and effects? Just click drop shadow agin and move some sliders around, ensuring the colour isvisable.

Oh right i use adblock for chrome so i didnt kno, btw i highly recommend adblock

Okay is the heron in its own layer?

If the bird is in its own layer, do a drop shadow without any blur, then do it again in whatever colours. If its not in its own layer, use magic wand to cut and paste it into another layer.

Ensure your canvas size is a little bigger to fit the shadow in, also be sure to make the area where the shadow will be transparent. Also make sure the colour isnt the same as the background layer, like white on white, because you wont see it. Id help you with screenshots but im not on PC. I know next to nothing about animation so i cant help you there

SO you want to edit a PDN file, and when its saved, all changes move onto a predifined JPEG file? Must be possible, but its not hard to flatten and save as a JPEg then undo and continue, but yes it does get confusing sometimes with multiple files that all look the same.

Wow thats pretty amazing, i see the grid technique really works! The glows around the led are pretty epic, the grid under dancefloors isnt working for me though. That logo is epic, but wen it comes to creating it in a vector format for signs and imprints on metal im not sure it would work. Ill have a look at the spacing of dancefloor and the shape of the D on my logo, iwasnt really happy with the D myself. @ego - i did it for free, kinda a family company thing, im working on another logo for the main company today : AVH - Audio Visual Hire. I dont have a rushed deadline for this one so i can make it perfect before showing it to them @MadJik - I really like the multitude of colours you used behind the L and the blues behind the D, did you do those manually or is there a Plugin / Effect for that range oif colours?

Yeah, but i had to put multiple colours as LED Dance Floors have loads of colours and stuff I was considering using the ClubLand font. But thats a bit cliche. Its become overused like the Batman Forever font.

Thats actually pretty cool, i just looked at the end image and have come up with my own way to do it, but yeah im definatly doing that in future!

Once youve got a basic knowledge of PDN, plugins can start to make things easier, like a Drop Shadow for example can be dont by Duplicating the layer, changing the colour and blurring. But with the Drop Shadow Plugin, its simpler and you can make finer adjustments. Plugins go from simple uses like that to the very complex, like Shape 3D, which has many options to fine tune the result. (oops, just kinda repeated what ego said in a less intelligent way )

Maybe the plugin that allows to save to PDF? Opened in illustrator u must be able to do a simple trace?

So you have selected the layer you want to draw on? Just click it in the Layer window. If you want arrows above the Background and Image 1, 3 layers would be best. Like this: -Arrows -Your Image -Background VISUAL EXAMPLE http://i56.tinypic.com/k1vyfs.png

maybe using 'shape 3d' (plugin) you could add a more globe effect to it, or 'glass orb'
