Download the zip pack to your Desktop or Downloads folder.
Left-click to open the zip.
Left-click to open the folder inside the zip, named Effects.
Copy paste the plugin files into the Paint.NET/Effects folder.
Thank you. maybe i'll be able to remember that next time.
if anyone is familiar with the editable text some tips on using it would be greatly appreciated.

This is where you should find Bevel Selection in the Paint.NET menu.
====================================================================
If it's not there, close Paint.NET.
Then open the Program Files/Paint.NET/Effects folder,
and make a screenshot showing everything inside the folder
and the top of the Windows Explorer window, with the full path
to the Effects folder showing.
is this the screenshot u wanted?

i can't select bevel its not in there...
-
okay... one more thing.. hopefully.. i feel like ive been trying to learn how to do this for ages now....
On that new layer, run my Effects > Selection > Bevel plugin. Adjust the slider to the way you like it.
i need to go to effects and select bevel plugin?

oh.. i'm such an idiot sometimes. ha ha thanks... sorry

OK, I have an idea for you. First, you have my plugin pack installed, right?
If so, try this:
Place some text on a layer by itself.
With the magic wand, Shift-Click a transparent pixel on that layer and press Ctrl-I to invert selection. This will make all your text selected.
Make that text layer invisible. Just be sure that the text that you can no longer see is still selected.
Add a new layer.
On that new layer, run my Effects > Selection > Bevel plugin. Adjust the slider to the way you like it.
You can then, fine-tune the look by playing with the layer opacity.
okay so i was finally able to install your plug in.. i had some things on my computer that needed to be fixed first.. but anyway... i was followin the above directions.. anway i got to the part to where i have to make the text layer invisible and i dont have the option to make check or uncheck the box.

Okay, it sounds like your OS file associations for .zip extensions are screwed up.
What OS version are you using? (XP, Vista, etc.)
vista

Okay, I've deciphered the screenshot.
It says "The image type is not recognized and cannot be opened."
There are a few things that could cause that.
What specifically did you do immediately before that error message came up?
For example, did you double-click a plugin file?
Did this happen when you clicked on the zipfile?
Something else?
i tried to open the zip file by left clicking it right before that came up.

jebllard03,
Try again, following these instructions, exactly.
Boltbait plugins:
Download the zipped file to your Desktop or Downloads folder.
Open the zip by left-clicking it.
Copy/paste the plugin files to your Effects folder.
Program Files/Paint.NET/Effects
=======================================================
Best to install plugins with Paint.NET closed.
i did all that... and this is what it did... what does this mean?
-
okay i need some help please.. i have been trying to install boltbaits plug-in pack, and something is working right.. or i am not doing something right. i followed the directions on how yyour suppose to install a plug in. problem is when i go into the effects folder to so i can open up the properties and unlock the plug in... the plug in is not in my effects folder.. and i cannot find it anywhere on my computer. so i decided to try downloading it again.. and a pop up come on the screen telling me that it already exists and asks if i want to replace it. so..... idk what to do.. any suggestions?

Yes thank you. that's what I meant. I mean a watermark is the only thing I could think of off the top of my head. But if someone has a better idea, i am open to suggestions.
