Thanks david! That's exactly the effect I was looking for. It gets a bit grainy at the top, but I'll find a way to fix that I'll be sure to post a pic once I get it looking how I want it to.

Thank you for the reply. That's not exactly what I was going for, but it does help a little. I'm thinking I won't be able to do exactly what I wanted to, which is something similar to this, with a little wider end. However, I could probably find a way to do something similar. Thanks for the help

I've been making this image, and was wondering how I could possibly get the gradient to fade with distance. As in, the gradient gets smaller and smaller as it gets further out into the water. It's simply unrealistic looking
