  1. Is there any way with 3.5.8 to name the color inside the palette so the selected color name will display somewhere in the palette (if a name exists)? If not, then as a feature request for version 4; when the user hovers over the color with their mouse cursor, a small pop up will display at the cursor tip with the color name listed in a palette file comment. This feature would allow for quick color selection by name for projects that are color name specific/customer color specific. The current process of referencing a palette text file RGB code list with commented description, then entering the required RGB codes for each color needed can be a bit time consuming for larger projects.

  2. Hello again, Simon,

This appears to be a nice looking plugin. I see lots of possibilities here. Yet another area where my "Download from..." idea could come into play. ;-) Down the road I could also see where a shared (custom photo database location) might come in handy for workgroup users of PDN.

    Is this plugin dead though?

  3. I have the exact same problem, and the exact same question. I wonder if the Google Image Search API has changed?

    Possible alternative Google Search API:

There is an Open License Yahoo Image Search API implementation here:

I know it's as nice as Google, but Bing does have a Windows API that includes Image Search:

  5. Simon,

Nice plugin. I use it for FTP transfers frequently. I'm not sure if it is even technically feasible under PDN 3.5.5, but have you thought about a "Download from..." plugin with similar features to the "Upload to..." plugin? Perhaps "Download from.." could even leverage the "Paste, Paste in to New Layer, Paste in to New Image" functionality already in PDN?

Why the need, you ask? To simplify acquiring images from remote sources (any source?), and by extension, facilitate complete, automatic processing of images. We have several active digital cameras using EyeFi cards ( http://www.eye.fi ) that are dumping images onto FTP accessible boxes. Images are transferred down via FTP then edited with PDN and sent to another FTP site. Without resorting to external scripts, I could almost automate image processing also completely in PDN by using pyrochild's scriptlab - if I had a "Download from..." plugin.

Would appreciate any thoughts on this...

    Kevin
