  1. I know it is possible to make an animated image with GIF and WEBP, but I wanted to make an animated image in the same quality from a number of screenshots in .png format. I thought I had found a paint.net plugin that made that possible but it turns out that it can't be done. Therefore I did it withAPNG Assembler.
  2. The idea of an .apng is that each image is saved in a separate layer. When saving as .png, all the layers are merged, and so it is no longer an animated image.
  3. I tried to use the latest version of this filetype plugin in paint.net v4.3.12. I copied the folder ImAPNG.FileType together with its content into the FileTypes folder of paint.net and started paint.net. 'APNG - PNG Animations and Images (*.png; *.apng)' is availble as an entry in the open file selector dialog: but no in the save as file selector dialog: Am I overlooking something?
  4. You're right, sorry! I really thought that in earlier versions only the rotated rectangle was cropped, but I see now that's not true.
  5. Starting with version 4.3.1 paint.net there's a problem with cropping a free rotated selection: When cropping a free rotated selection, paint.net now creates a rectangle around the selection and removes the edges outside the selection. Reproduction steps 1. Create a rectangle with Rectangle Select 2. Free rotate the selection 3. Image > Crop to Selection
  6. It seems something went wrong with the attachements. Can you fix it, please?
