  1. Yet another new image. Been working on this one for awhile. I did not use the band's logo as a stock but rather a reference image: Original logo: http://www.metal-archives.com/images/3/9/7/5/39754_logo.jpg Edit: Another Logo remake. This one's not as good but oh well. Original: http://www.metal-archives.com/images/1/7/9/8/17980_logo.gif
  2. My best guess is to try and mess with Layer Rotate/Zoom. It's under the Layers menu, iirc.
  3. Imo, it would look much better with a vertical like like the same as the horizontal one. Very good image, though.
  4. SOTW 43 Music Entry: It's been awhile since I messed around in PDN. Sorry about the jaggies, but I just could not remove them, but, imo, it doesn't look half bad like that.
  5. Been awhile since last messing around in PDN. Stock
  6. Would it be possible, in the near future, to have a feature like this? Basically I want it to reload all of the plugins. It's useful when you install new plugins and don't want to close out of whatever you're working on.
  7. Barbieq, your precious work! :O How dare Photobucket tell you your bandwidth access has been exceeded! They should make an exception for you and all your beautiful work! Anyways, I absolutely love your newest work!
  8. If that's Tarja from Nightwish then you, my friend, are awesome. By the way, really nice tutorial. Never done a render sig before but I may try this one.
  9. Haha nice new sig csm! I see the message but I won't say so I don't spoil the fun!
  10. Lance, that is some jaw dropping text you have there. Maybe a full tutorial would be more in the interest of the community (or at least, me)?
  11. No it's not the same. You did a gradient and copy/pasted it around the planet. Both have their ups and downs. You have a nice tutorial, well written and stuff.
  12. from what I can see, just draw leaves using the brush tool, and fill/mask it with a gradient.
  13. An easier way is to just draw random lines with a brush in a slightly circular form, use radial blur, duplicate the layer for thickness, and viola! You have a nicely done ring! There is a more in-depth tutorial on pdnfans using the same technique I just stated. Also, for getting the ring behind the planet, there's an easier way: Copy the section of the planet that would appear to be in front of the ring and paste it on a layer above the ring layer
  14. I have just about every single plugin, save for dupes by other authors, on my PDN downloaded and have no viruses or anything. I say it's all safe.
  15. Abstract Color Thingy: IMO, the black border is too big, I'm in the process of trying to reduce it, lol.
  16. Looks pretty cool! Keep up the good work.
  17. Okay here goes a mini tut: You will need Illnab1024's Alpha Mask plugin. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=1854 As well as Drop Shadow. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=1143 0. Important! *** Make sure whatever you plan on making, make it twice the size as your desired finished product, this is needed to get the beveling looking correctly! 1. Make your texture/backround whatever you like. 2. Add a new layer, and set primary color to black. 3. Add text, preferable large font. I used an outline font, called Iron Maiden from 1001(or 1000?)freefonts.com or something like that, I forgot. But it looks fine without an outline font as well. 4. Select all (Ctrl+A), and then cut (Ctrl+C). Do NOT delete the empty layer, it will make a step in the future a bit more convenient. 5. Go to your texture/backround layer, and go to Effects -> Alpha Mask. Use at default settings and click OK 6. Select the magic wand tool, set tolerance to 0%, and fill mode to global. Select anywhere in your texture/backround (NOTE: if you have a texture, or an otherwise reason why you cannot select the full backround in one click with magic wand, select the transparent area of the of the image (the text that you alpha masked) and press Ctrl+I to invert the selection) 7. Remember that empty layer I told you to save? If you didn't, create a new one. Go to Effects -> Selection -> Bevel Selection. Use all default settings, and set the depth to 1. Deselect everything by pressing [Enter] 8.1. OPTION ONE of completing this step: Go to Effects -> Object -> Drop Shadow. Mess with Offsets X/Y, Blur Radius, and Opacity until you are satisfied with the outcome. 8.2. OPTION TWO: Duplicate your texture/backround layer and repeat step 8.1, except this time, Uncheck "Keep original Image" 9. Resize the image to 50% to get the final outcome.
  18. These were some missile projectile images I did for a game. They each took about 15 minutes.
  19. I found an image that I forgot to upload a while back: Also, I made a new AFI logo for my girlfriend:
  20. Hexeratt, it does not say that you need more posts to write a tutorial. That's just so newbs don't post them, they want you to have more posts to have more skill and experience. You obviously have both already, and read rules carefully, and will have no problem in regards to writing a tutorial (other than the innumerable amount of work, effort, and time you put into it!).
