I made this using shaped gradient! Any news on where the developer went? This is an awesome plugin! If there were ways to add multiple colors to the shaped gradient, that would be awesome! P.S. Sorry for the bump, but this plugin deserves more attention.

I'm really sorry if this has been suggested before - but a logo competition? Here's my idea: Weekly Logo Competition: Entrants must submit an image that follows the following rules: The image must contain a name (most likely of something that pertains to you, your interests, etc) It must contain a slogan. Something catchy that relates to your name or the purpose of the logo. Eight (8) words or less. It can be any size or any size ratio. Preferably no smaller than 200x200 pixels. The logo can be done in any genre, such as pixel art, space, psychedelic, etc. External programs ARE allowed, but most of it should be done in PDN, as this is what the contest is about. If you do use an external program, please state what you did in the external program, and preferably why you didn't use PDN for the said task. Optional: If you are in the top three, you may choose to do a tutorial on how you made your image. You may even choose to talk about as little as one effect in the image (e.g. how you got the nice metallic background or something). (Edited in after initial post) You must also post links to any stock images you have used.

I have something new, after awhile of not doing anything! Full size image (click) I decided to redo my band logo completely from scratch. I'm quite surprised I remembered how I made it, to be honest. I did everything in PDN, with the exception of the slogan text and the beveling on the main text, which was done in Photoshop CS5.1. As always, I am still a loyal PDN fan and still prefer it over Photoshop (with the exception of Photoshop's smooth bevels, custom gradients, and neat layer effects). I have used several different ones for several different works, so yes, I use them all, xD. But I guess you could say I'm hoarding them.

Sometimes I open images from the internet or need to quickly edit a screenshot, and MSpaint sucks with cropping and stuff, it's so much easier in PDN

I didn't think about that, it would be awesome if that was done.

Sometimes, I just want to open a picture and view it/do some simple cropping. With over 300 addons, PDN can take about 10 seconds to load, which can get a bit annoying. Could there be some option to set PDN to open with no addons, and consequently, an option to load the addons (after PDN has been opened, it then loads the addons and refreshes the menu display so the addons are there)? I know people might tell me to switch my default program to something else, but that isn't the workaround I'm looking for. Edit: Hello everyone, miss me?

I would love something like this. Something I would like better would be to be able to save 'presets' for plugins. e.g. you have specific settings for a certain plugin that you don't want to forget, so you save it. Functionality like this is very similar in FL Studio with VST instrument plugins. Paint.NET, however, would probably need to create a 'wrapper' which has all those saving/loading presets 'built in', else all the plugin developers would have to manually add that functionality.

I really like the plugin, I say add it. I've not seen something that's too similar. offtopic: In your image, you might want to make the lighting of the 3D shape face the lighting coming down from the right side. The fact that the light looks like it's coming from the other way looks weird, lol.

Hey, I'm back! Recently started making my own texmaps for a game that is able to be modded: The tank on the top is transparent because there is a setting to change luminosity scale to alpha scale (black is full transparent, white is full visible), and I was messing with that. Very nice! I could see people making stars out of this, using the gradient, and then turning black to alpha for some nice starshines!

Even if there was such a texture picker, it would be dang hard to code. I cannot help you in any way as this isn't my strong suite of experience for PDN, but some of the other members I'm sure would help you get the effect you are trying to achieve without a texture picker.

I probably had FL Studio 9, Window's Movie Maker, about 7 tabs of Firefox, and Windows Media Player running all at the same time. Lol. I don't think I would have run out of memory otherwise with just closing out PDN.

Hey I just noticed that on my desktop was a crash log for PDN from august 4th. I just got back to my moms house, in which PDN was left running the whole time I was gone. What image are you specifically talking about? The flower on the top left, the pillar-thing on the top right, or the tree on the bottom right? It seems for most you'd be best using the technique of digital tracing if you do not have steady hands or a good memory. Here's how it works: You copy the image you want to trace, and paste it on your canvas. Now, make a new layer on top and use a bright/easy to see color with the line tool at 1-3 size. Make sure you have Alti-aliasing () on. Now, use the line tool and trace around the edges of what you're drawing. In the case of the flower on the top left, you're going to want to trace on multiple layers, using different colors, for each 'part' (purple flower, green lillie pad, etc) of the image. Remember, you can make curves with lines, too! Just drag some of the little 'handlebars' that appear on your line to curve it. That is about as far as I can take you, you're going to have to use gradients, effects, etc, to get the look of the image what you want it.
