Good morning everyone!
Well I'm practicing photo editing (I have a long way to go before I can promote myself); however, I'm stumped on a scene image. Here is the photo...
I want to make the rainbow stand out w/o blurring around the rainbow....I've played with it A LOT and cannot even remember how I got the result, it's not what I wanted...I did however play with the picture enough that I found another rainbow above the other one which is pretty cool..
What I wanted to do is make the rainbow stick out, make the top portion of the sky darker, along w/ the trees on the bottom of the picture and the tree closer to the lens to be a little darker. I have NO IDEA how to achieve this....

Thank you for the help from both of you :-D. It worked and I've very greatful!

how do I do that?
Clear your browser's cache before downloading it again. -
That's what I downloaded; I redownloaded; and still the same thing.
The link is in the first post of this thread. -
Do you mind pointing me in the right direction?
You don't have the latest version of my plugin set. -
I'm using 3.4.5 and this is what it showed in the plug-in error:

The link is in the first post of this thread. What version of Paint.NET are you using? If there's anything in Utilities -> View Plugin Load Errors, post that here. -
I thought I did. I downloaded the one post that has all the plug-in's on it. Was that the wrong one? If so please lead me to the way to the correct thing to download first.
You need to install pyrochild.effects.REQUIRED.dll as well as any of the plugins you want. -
EERRR. I cannot get your effect(s) to even show up. I just updated again and have redownloaded them again. I specifically want the smudge and it's not working. Please help?
-
never mind I figured it out :-). I always have to do things the hard way :-(
-
Okay I must be dumb but I put the download into my effects folder....it didn't show up I don't think.
What do I do?
-
AAHHHHHH I CANNOT DO THIS!!!
I've been working on this for hours now!!
Here are my exact problems:
1. when I invert the back doesn't go transparent, it goes a blueish black
2. whenI try to make the white border, I get nothing, no white, nothing....
and this is where I'm stuck :-(
-
that's my go at it :-). I ADORE this effect!!
My question is; how do you make the background blur a little to make the colored part pop out even more? I tried the gaussian blur another picture and obviously, the whole thing blurred and it looks a little odd with the colored part.
Any advice? And with this picture, notice some of the leaves weren't totally selected....is there an easier way to select ALL of the part you want colored? B/c WOW that's A LOT of copy and pasting to do...it took about an hour for this.
I am however, very pleased with the outcome.
Also, I tried using the conditional hue/saturation and I just don't understand the plug-in at all.
Background help; I'm very confused
