  1. I was using msi and changing CHECKFORUPDATES in Property category to 0 in msi using Orca. Although in 4.3.2 it was already set to 0. In 4.3.3 new msi i don't see such option anymore. Is it still supported? I have created it and set it to 0. Although i am now not sure what is the default and if i even need to set it and if it will be applied when i create it this way.
  2. Yes, that's what i meant. Extended support (critical and security updates).
  3. I'm not planning to upgrade my home machines (using Win7). I'm a Windows Insider and am using Win10 on test machines from early builds. Some builds were disastrous, some better. Personally i don't think it is ready for such an early release, but MS will rush it and will fix it eventually. But i don't see anything of value to me to even consider upgrading. Win7 perfectly fits my needs and it will be supported for a very long time. Win10 on the other hand has some things that i don't like, and i don't want to harm my usability just because its new and "free". At work we can't upgrade for free and updating to a fairly different UI is an investment on its own (users/support learning), so we will be using Win7 for many years. As i use Paint.NET at home and at work (not an artist, just a limited editing here and there), I don't like the idea to cut Win7 users off. Will stop donating to this project then and eventually will look for some other tool (though older versions should probably work for me for some time).
  4. Starting with 3.5.0 i'm not able to install newest Paint.NET version (on top of the older one) in limited user environment without logging in as administrator anymore. Usually i was able to launch installer with Run As administrator. Now installer launches and then nothing happens, no errors, no windows. As i always work with limited user it creates inconvenience to have to log off, login as admin, install and then login back as a user. Windows XP SP3. I've tried to capture installer process with Process Monitor (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi ... 96645.aspx). It seems that process stops at GRE initialization and then thread and process just exit. I would attach the log here, but it is too big (950 KB zip).
