  1. Another windows decoration. Inspired when i was drawing sloppy lines and thought, that looks like a window.
  2. Note: I did not design the structure of this chip, full credit for that goes to cjmcguinness. I did, however, modify the chip's markings, essentially making it a PDN chip.
  3. Microsoft is so busy improving their aero glass effects, so why don't they add a 3-D start button? Here is what I think it would look like. I dubbed it: windows aero 3D. Note:I have edited the original image to get rid of the pixelated edges(this is v3.6). I hope you like the new one!
  4. Very good request. Doing that would save important work. Perhaps they'll add it as a feature in future versions if enough people ask for it.
  5. Do you have to host the image on another site, or can you just upload it?
  6. How do you post a picture in the pictorium? I've gone that section of the forum, but when i try to post a new topic, there's no box for uploading pictures.
  7. What do you think is Paint.NET's most powerful capability(I mean the core program; not plug-ins)? I'd have to say layers and gradient, but what do you think?
  8. What is the maximum resolution and color depth that Paint.NET can handle(assuming that you're using high-end hardware)?
  9. Paint.NET supports saving files as .dds(directdraw surface), correct? Now, I have heard that the format is used for making video game texture files, indicating that it is for special uses. So, what can you use .dds for in paint.net?
  10. I've seen some really cool pix made with paint.net that show a nebulae or a supernova in space. Now I know that you use digital noise for the stars, and the burninate effect for the structure of the deep-sky object, but how do you actually put the effect together? Link to another site if necessary(for step-by-step tutorials, videos, etc.).
  11. Cool pix. Is there a tutorial for making these effects?
  12. I'm not asking for an older version, but is it possible to run paint.net v2.5 on windows 7? Just asking. Someone please post a reply.
  13. Well, is there a download for the manual?
  14. wouldn't it be more sensible to include the Paint.NET user manual with the software, rather than post it on the site and spend more money on server space?
  15. Has Paint.NET v3.6 beta been released yet?
  16. No. It hasn't even been started. I thought you said you had 6% of the code done over a year ago.
  17. Do any of you guys know a website that hosts Paint.NET v1.0? Like a legacy site for really old apps?
  18. windows with gradient. feel free to comment. I dare you to do a better drawing.
  19. I think a link for Paint.NET v1.0 should be put up. I am not posting this as a personal request, but as a way to honor Paint.NET and Rick Brewster's work. Also so people can see how much Paint.NET has changed over the years.
  20. Will brushes ever be added to paint.NET(e.g. Photoshop brush support , airbrushes, etc.)? If they were, it would make paint.NET a killer app, and I'm not over exaggerating. No offense, my friends say I'm obsessed with the program the way i always choose it over Photoshop, and it IS an advanced app with many powerful tools, but brush support for the core program(not a plug-in) would make it comparable to Photoshop and GIMP in ways it just can't be without. If the development team is reading this, please consider adding brushes to the core program in a future release. I'm sure a lot of other Paint.NET users would agree with me that brushes are a necessity, and simply must be added as a feature.
