In the save configuration box it says: "Preview, file size: (error)", then if you hit save anyway it says "There was an unspecified error while saving the file." Then it leaves an empty .PNG file where you tried to save it. Very descriptive, I know.

I would expect this has been covered previously but I couldn't find anything with a quick search. If I try to save a large image over around 3000x3000 pixels as a .PNG file then it gives me an error if I select 8 bit (or leave it on auto detect), but works fine with 24/32 bit. It will do this with a blank canvas or a simple drawing, but if I paste a portion of an image with lots of colors on the canvas before saving, then suddenly it will work (even at 8 bit). I am running Windows 7 64-bit with 4 GB RAM.

I updated to Paint.NET version 3.5 from version 3.30 and am now experiencing significant brush lag. The line I draw only updates if I move the mouse slowly, but once I slow the mouse down then the line just drawn updates. The same thing occurs with just the paintbrush cursor--if I move the mouse fast enough (not actually very fast) the little circle will just stay in the same place indefinitely until the mouse slows enough for it to catch up. The pencil tool still works normally. My computer: Dell Dimension 4600 Desktop Windows XP SP3 Pentium 4 2.66 Ghz 2 GB RAM
