I've got the same problem - can't reinstall from 3.5 beta to 3.5 final. And i can't remove 3.5 beta too. I've tried to reinstall all versions of .net framework - this didn't help. I think this is bug in the installer. I've decided to delete folder with paint.net files by myself from hdd and copy installed Paint.NET 3.5 final folder from another computer - now it works fine Finally - its bug with installer!
