  1. There can be few reasons: 1. The stupidest: The folder that You could be copying the file could have the Write permission without the Read permission. 2. Have You waited until Paint.Net saved the file? Or did You click restart and then clicked Save in the Paint.Net dialog box? I don't really have an idea what could it be. But in my opinion it isn't Paint.Net's fault. Search for help further. :-)
  2. Very nice, but what happened to the dog?
  3. 1. Make one picture. 2. Go to Image > Canvas Size. 3. Select "By percentage:" and set the value to 200% 4. Set Anchor to Top Left. 5. Click OK. 6. Copy the image 4 times 7. For each section apply other Adjustment > Hue/Saturation values.
  4. Does Paint.Net automatically detect newly added plugins to the Effects or FileTypes folders? A plugin manager with a plugin store would be more useful. Something like a simpler version of one in Firefox. This would be cool. Even Photoshop doesn't have this. Every time I download a plugin and test them (half of them is junk, the other half is useful) I have to open Windows Explorer, go to C:\Program Files..., extract the downloaded file, copy it there. And this is boring.
  5. When I saw this menu position the first time I thought it was a built-in Font Manager for Paint.Net. But what does it do? It opens the Windows Explorer in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder. In the next version please add a link to the System32 folder, Drivers folder, System Volume Information folder...
  6. Good question! It's a kind of blur with the difference that the color of output pixel is not related with neighbor pixel color's.
  7. Because there is NO SMUDGE tool in Paint.Net.
  8. Cool!! <Let's spare the excessive punctuation ([rule=5]see Rule #5[/rule]) -EER>
  9. TIP: If You want to make the screenshot only of the active window press PRINTSCREEN + ALT
  10. There should be a "virtual, summary" layer that will show the whole image (with all the layers merged) in one "virtual" layer. I know that this is stupid, but maybe this idea could help You think of other features to PDN. :-)
  11. I would like to compare the first with the latest version of Paint.Net. I think that the evolution of PDN is an interesting history. Where can I download the installer of PDN 1.0?
