  1. yeah, it is absolutely weird this year... normally I am freeeeeeeeeeeezing realy quick, but this year I got my wintercoat out of the closet half December!!! we had a little snow today but it was gone within an hour... anyway... Valentines Day is coming up, are you going to do something with it? I'll get the best present ever!! not have to go in surgery, my wisdom teeth are not going to come through since they are UNDERNEATH my normal teeth and grown together or something... blegh.... so it has to come out under surgery.... nice day of LOVE, lol
  2. it is true as I said before that some people just open their eyes in a hard way... maybe some will open their eyes of what you have said, but for me, an action like that would have made everything even worse... it is very difficult to know what will help a person, because that is always different... Sometimes a doctor will really help, and you'll get better and all... sometimes it's not helping at all... Apology to you Welsh, because I actually got a little mad when I saw your post yesterday, even though in some way I can understand what you mean... is not quite true... Some really want to but they can't for their own personal reason... Maybe they think there will be light at the end of the tunnel, some day... and there are plenty of more reasons...
  3. not to be mean or anything, but... if you like all those tools in mspaint, why complain here instead of using mspaint? I mean, after every point you say: as in MSPaint. I don't see the point of that... PDN is and will always be a great program which I love to use... But I do agree with you about the brushes, for example: if you lower the transparency of a color, and paint with it, it's not a smooth line, but you can see dot over dot kind of... or, if you would like to create something which looks like an waterpaint painting you will need more tools than just a brush to create that effect...
  4. happy birthday ahahah Pyro! I have watched that movie 10 times this week! lol
  5. yeah, trying to do my first guy sounds a bit uhm, double, also, from what I have heard, twilight is not one of the coolest movies and I agree... but, Jacob Black is hot! lol
  6. Thanks everyone... I'm getting to feel shy actually, that's for the first time! The right iris, yes, it's not perfect, but when I wanted to change it, the layer was already merged down... oops... but I can see a lot more mistakes on this one, hoping the next will be better... one with Jacob Black, trying to do my first guy!
  7. lol, the only reason why I told my story is just to show that it can be okey in the end, it doesn't have to be that way... but sometimes, the hard way opens your eyes...
  8. I like the third one you have pretty logo
  9. hated the waiting, so I fixed it in a different way... I erased the part with the weird result, copied a good part, pasted it on a diff layer, and stretched it with the selection tool... so it looks a lot what I had in mind ;-)

  11. by the way... with gaussianblur + it comes with this weird result ONLY if I set the setting to: Alpha channel only
  12. a screenshot of pdn, while doing alpha blur (I first finished all the rest of the image and put all that in one layer, otherwise it would have been too much) and yes, that is my entire screen, two screens actually, the one I use pdn for is a computer flat screen plugged into my acer aspire one, where pdn is running on and on the right side is my acer screen did not had the mood to cut that part away... EDIT: click the image you will be linked to my flickr, right click and choose bigger size

  14. sure I'll post a screenshot with the layers, but there are many ;-) by the end of the day (europian time) I'll have it posted, I must now clean and study, unfortunatly...
  15. me knows too... magic mushrooms were wonderful!! my cat turned into a white rabbit anyway... thought of something else, Disney classics! I have no idea why, but it started when i got preg, every time I watch a disney movie or a disney song, I start to cry because it is sooooo beautiful! just now I put on the little mermaid for my son (he already loves disney classics) and I started crying with the opening song!!! lol how weird is that!!
  16. thats a really cool plugin! must try it some day the second image is what I prefer nice outcomes
  17. For an image I am doing right now, I wanted to use the Alpha blur, for some fading effect, now, a part of the selection does not blur, I do not know If I do something wrong or that there is a bug... I'll show you: I started off with this one. a background and a woman (both on a different layer Now I added a new layer - copied a small selection from the background and added it on the layer on top of the woman as shown here : I got the rectangle select tool from around middle height till bottom of the image (to speed up) and set the alpha blur setting to 45, and next is the result of that: you see in the right corner it's not been blurred, even if I set the settings to 100 that part does not blur at all... After testing all of my blurs (I think I have them all) just the Gaussian blur+ and the Alpha blur gave me this weird result at the right bottom corner so, just try and smudge it? or is there somewhere a bug?
  18. uhm... I have no idea why, but I get the same result if I use Gaussian blur + at 45...?? must be me doing something wrong then right? edit: normal gaussian blur does do that not edit2: after testing all the blurs I have and just Alpha blur and Gaussian blur+ gave me such weird results
  19. thanks delpart... i'll try smudge, but still... it would not be the exact outcome I was hoping for... maybe Tanel could fix this alpha blur problem?
  20. any help would be appreciated... would like to finish this image

I could use the bidirectional blur, but it doesn't give the same effect. What am I doing wrong?
  22. It is actually too bad that there are not brushes like that in pdn, maybe someone can create some of those for the custom mini brushes, since I have no idea how to do that! It would also make my art a lot more easy to create. At the other hand, I got used to my technics.
