  1. Seems like this may be an issue with how you're exporting from PowerPoint. PowerPoint is saving the images as viewed, not in actuality, so when you import to Paint.NET, it's smaller and worse quality, and when you put it back in to PowerPoint, it's worse than the original, as it's a smaller image. To prove this, export a PNG and then load it right back in to PowerPoint without using Paint.NET. You should still see that quality difference.
  2. I understand that CMYK editing support will not be enabled, but would it be possible to implement the reverse of what generally asked? As in, a CMYK to RGB conversion. I know an add-on has been made for the reverse, but I really need CMYK to RGB for what I generally work with. So far, I've only been able to do this by borrowing my friend's computer with Photoshop, and lots of time would be saved if Paint.NET could accomplish this task.
  3. Just keep pasting images on top of another, larger image. It seems to help if the original is opened from file, then to paste on from an image from the browser. That's not always the case, however, but it seems to help.
  4. As evidenced here, it is possible in many apps to do this. Supposedly GIMP, Jasc/Corel PaintShop Pro, and Photoshop support the feature. Why doesn't PDN support this? It would be of great help. Quote from page:
