I've been trying to make dogs but they seem to be missing something and I'm a little confused on the shading. Do you have any suggestions of what I could try to make them look nicer?

That's what I always used in photoshop to remove backgrounds. Is there anything like that for paint.net? Or do you remove the backgrounds a different way? I like to remove the backgrounds to make banners or put new ones in.
