Here is a plugin to open and save animated GIFs, one frame into each layer. You will have to rename them to .agif to be imported and rename them after saving (I did this to avoid conflict with the built-in GIF handler). Place this plugin in the FileTypes folder.
Hidden Content:[reason]Update Log[/reason]1.3
- [*:34d4ouf2]Adds support for saving as well.
1.5
- [*:34d4ouf2]Allows one to select the delay between frames.
[*:34d4ouf2]Allows selection of number of times to loop.
1.7
- [*:34d4ouf2]Adds the ability to add APNG support.
Hidden Content:[reason]How to add APNG support[/reason]By default, this plugin doesn't support the saving of animated PNGs, but you can add support for them by following these instructions. The plugin doesn't include this command-line tool by default due to its license, which forbids redistribution. Note that to add APNG support you will need the Java runtime v5 or later.
To add support for APNG saving, download the "library/command line" file from this site. Then unzip it, open the "japng" folder and copy "japng.jar" to your "Paint.NET user files" folder. You should now see a new option when saving: APNG. Note that files saved with this FileType should have their extension changed to "PNG."
This plugin uses code written by Rick van den Bosch.
Wait, whenever I insert a picture on each layer and save em to .agif and scave it as .apng it says error.

A while ago I got the .gif file saver, but I don't know how to work it. A tutorial said I had to put .agif on each layer... But it failed. Can someone please tell me what Im suppose to do in order to make an animation picture?

Thanks pipp, I didn't want to do a lot of smudging because I'm not very good at it
And thanks for the heads up gamer
You have to have a creative mind in order to make somethings like that. Nice job. I got a mental question. What color do you see when you look at the number 6?

True epic. Thats what I call it, and I will make mines manually and make it a different color background for my next sigs.

I am not really into signatures and such but a very well written tutorial, especially for a first time poster. Nice to see one actually read the rules. Welcome to the forums and good job
One thing though, perhaps add a small list of plugins that would be required for each piece? some of the newer members may struggle to find them otherwise
Im that kind of peson. I did download a lot of plugins as guest. So this will probably be easy for me since Im one of those tutorial people.

To make it clear, I just joined here. I was known as a guest for a while, then I suggested myself to join.
Just a Few easy effects that can make signatures look cooler
Border Shadow
Open Your background Image and Add a New layer
On the New layer Make a shape similar to your background image with the shape tool.
Go back to the Background Image and Feather
Now on the Border Add a Drop Shadow
You can Also change the Border Layer's Properties to make cool effects like below
Reflection(Manual)
This effect is really simple but effective
Copy your Main image onto a new layer and flip it upside down
Move the upside down one to the bottom of the screen and lower the Opacity
Now their are so many thing you can do with the reflection but you can figure that out yourself.
Darken/Lighten Lines
Now this one is an effect I use in almost all signature I make.
Find a signature background like this and add a new layer.
On the New layer make a border around the signature.
Have the Color Wheel set to Black as Primary, Transparent as secondary. (To do this use the Color Picker over transparent)
Now Select the Paint Can and on the Tool bar Select Backwards Diagonal.
Fill the Border
Now Go to layer Properties, For the Blending Mode Select Color Burn and set the transparency to what looks good
Merge layers Feather and your done
To make the lines lighten instead of Darken, Select White and Transparent and set the Blend Mode in Layer Properties to Additive instead of Color Burn.
I do hope you got much information in this tutorial. Again, Im new here, and I hope you all get to see my art. Thank-you.
