Shiny, I like it
Love that silvery look to it, how'd you do that?
About the aliasing, I believe it is due to my use of the Rotate/Zoom tool. I rotate the image to get the perspective I want, and what I think that does is that it builds up the anti-aliasing along certain edges, depending on the angle I set.
Edit: Also new image
Wow, simply amazing! All your 3D art is amazing.

The awesme smiley. Best thing ever made on the history of the internet. It's amazing. I would recommend it on the smilies list. :3
My pixel art elf:
And my pixel art waffle: (i know I like waffles better)

Run it in a new layer.

Nice, thanks (to the authors). Now I have lots of tutorials in one...

Nice tut!
I'll post my results here later...
-
Save it as a PNG file. JPEG ruins it.
-
Ok I got it. I made it glow after and it looked awesome.
-
I'm not getting the same results. What do you draw/put before you zoom blur??
-
How do you create the special effects like the star/sun in the background?
-
i am guessing that is Guassian Blur because apparently i dont have that kind of icon :?
yeah it's gaussian blur. It changed because of the new update, 3.51... and all the icon graphics changed.

I saw everyones cool pixel images and decided to do one myself.
Its Kirby, just in case you didn't know. (Which is understandable because it sucks)
Try thinning the lines to one pixel. Like this:
I have made lots of pixel art in paint.net. This is my best, and absolute favorite:lol, mudkip!

I tried updating to 3.51 and I got another error:
System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'G:\Documents\Downloads\Staging'.
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)

Here's some other info:
I did not add PDN to the Start Menu/Programs List.
PDN was installed into my USB, then later moved to this computer.
EDIT: I installed PDN manually from GetPaint.net, and it worked. Thanks.

This is the error I got when trying to install 3.5:

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Yes, but I think that was because that post was mainly for posting small sprites (about 32x32 and put together in a image or something like that)... or something that you don't need a line tool for.
imagine drawing a line across a paper. Would you use hundreds of dots just to draw it? or would you use a line?
Do you use dots EVER on a piece of paper? (Btw you can drag the pencil tool with arrow keys for horizontal/vertical lines)
That's what I mean. All you need to do is use the line tool. Why shold you need to use dots if the line tool is easier? (in the cases when you have to use a line)
Back to the topic, when are you (onemorelevel) going to make a new pixel art tutorial?
-
/\ a bit blurry, but nice.
Here's mine. I also squashed it vertically a bit.
EDIT: Here's another one!

Nice! you made a tutorial for it . it's a bit confusing though, but i figured it out

waffle, with pixel art, you HAVE to use the tool, no line tools. You can use the fill bucket once in awhile though.
That's ridiculous. You can use the line tool, the square tool, the circle tool, etc.
Take this thing from pixeljoint for example:
For the base of the statue, do you really think he pressed he mouse button like 100 times so he could draw a line? For the buildings, do you really think he pressed his mouse button 1000 times?
hmm. thats true.
btw, OneMoreLevel when did you start with pixel art?
-
Woah! how did you make your 1st and 2nd sigs?
-
Wow! that looks awesome!
I can see you went off the tutorial a bit.. how did you make it?

But.. i've always used the line tool (in mspaint) and almost everyone told me to...
oh well. at least not using the line tool IS easier.

I knew that you would make a tutorial soon... It's much more complex than I thought though.
I just chose a random letter... It's a bit blurry.
