I tried the Gimp program before i tried Paint.net
I found that program to be so complicated that i had to hit my head with a rock, and that didn't help !
Gimp is a well rounded program that covers just about every thing you need, but you have to be an Einstein to use it.
I may sound like a complainer but the fact is if a program is so complicated, it takes all the fun out of what you are trying to do and it sucks your creative impluse because your spend more time tweeking the program than useing it. I personally got better things to do than waste my time tweeking.
For example, if i took a car on vacation and i had to tweek or fix the car 10 times a day, that would ruin the whole vacation.
The idea of a vacation is to enjoy it and relax without to much thinking.
In the same way i bought my computer to use it, not to be a computer programmer of sort with every substandard program that comes a long.
Computers have been around a long time and it's about time to set a new standard for programs, like they should work the first time without a bunch of plug-loading and tweeking and move this, lift that, bend over, type stuff,
and they should be easy to understand for any level computer user, and they should come with a index of every possible (How do i ______) question.
Is that asking to much, I think not, unless your someone who likes living in computer caveman days, like the old dot printers. Now that i look back at those days, I think what a joke.
This message is mostly for Paint.net makers, get your bloody potato together or you will fade into the past like the old dot printer.
