It still looked like it worked with black but I'll try white too. It should look better. The white part of the cloud will be the mist. Yeah they both work but the Black and White is better.

This is my first time asking for help on these forums. My question is How do you make a fog or mist effect? I'm working on a Batman avitar and I want some fog at his feet and in the background. So how do you make something like that? Either leave a full tutorial or if there is already one elsewhere leave a link. Thanks for the help.
