  1. Yup, I'm sure both are zoomed in to the same percentage. They are also the exact same file, everything's the same. I can't understand why this happens, but it really makes my banners look horribly pixelated (even when zoomed out to 100%). =/
  2. Hi guys, As some of you might've noticed, I'm pretty new to Paint.NET and still have some very basic questions. Like I said in the other topic, I'm trying to create/edit a banner and I'm having some trouble with it. The issue that has come up right now is that for some reason when I open my banner's .gif it seems to lose some of it's quality. Check out these screenshots: Both are from the exact same file, one viewed through Windows Image Viewer and the other one with Paint.NET. The second clearly loses some of its quality and becomes somewhat pixelated. Is this really normal? This is really troubling me, since the banner I'm creating is looking pretty poor quality... Thanks again and sorry if the questions sound inappropriate, André
  3. Thanks a lot for the help, but I'm still having trouble inserting high-res text. I've made an example using a banner I got from the internet; I took a part of it with text as I'd like to insert and inserted text rendered both as "Sharp" and as "Smooth". Here's what I've got: The text above is what I'd like to be able to create, both "learn more" texts below are the ones I've inserted as "Sharp" and "Smooth". Maybe you could give me some hints on how to insert text as in the example? Many thanks, Andre
  4. Hi everyone! I'm trying to modify a banner, I need to add some text to it, but I'm having some serious trouble while doing it. I'm really new to paint.net and I can't seem to insert some high resolution text - the text I insert with the 'A' (text) tool always seems way too pixelated and such. Is there an easy way to insert some nice high resolution text, having effects such as outlining, shadowing, etc.? edit: what I'm looking for is an easy way to insert text like for example in the Interactive Guide: There you can see that the text isn't pixelated and has a shady black outline so that it's legible even if the background color changes. Thanks a lot! André
