"then simply the areas from the top layer which contain the blue you want to key (as well as the non-key area) but has no red-herrings."

Hi, I have been using paint.net for a while now and thinks its brill. I also didnt relise how good it was until I started reading post on this fourm, as you guys seem to the pros maybe you could help me with somet.
I am doing some product images with a light box, it has a blue backgorund for chrome key editing. I have downn loaded the chrome key exten from here and it works brill.
The only problem is the my prodcuts are very colourful so when I use the chrome key ext, it also take out the blue parts on my products. I assume this can be sorted using layers but havent got there yet.
would anyone be so kind and explain how I do this,,

Duplicate the layer before chroma-keying it and have the layer being keyed below the other copy. After running the plugin, then simply the areas from the top layer which contain the blue you want to key (as well as the non-key area) but has no red-herrings.
