Paint.Net saves pictures just fine when i use it but whenever i use layers and then save it i cant open it in any piant programs! (including paint.net) I get an error opening the picture and it says invalid file type. Can anyone tell me whats wrong and help me fix this issue?

Yes, i do infact have .NET Framework installed. Can you give more detail because i don't understand what to do when you said "go to your %temp% directory and look for files PdnMsiInstall.log and PdnSetupNgenInstall.log and post there contents here."

A long time ago i had paint.net installed but then uninstalled it. Now i am trying to reinstall it and i get these errors: There is a problem with the Windows installer package. A program required for the install to complete could not be run. and also: A network error occured attempting to read from the file: C:\ProgramFiles\Paint.net\Staging\PaintDotNet_1455716441.msi. Then it says fatal error during installation. Can someone help me?
