No need for a plugin. After selecting the line tool, look at the tool bar to adjust the line endings.
Well duh....now I feel real stupid! Thanks for the quick response.

I need to draw lines with an arrow on one end or the other.
Can someone point me to a plugin to do that?
Thanks,

I am getting a ton of Norton Auto-Protect errors with most plugins I try to install.
Norton compains the dll is not safe and has been removed.
I never got these errors before.....
What to do?

It doesn't quite do what I want. Below is similar to what I want to accomplish.
Top text goes right to left. Same for bottom.
-
I need to create text along a curve. Is there a plugin for that?
I will have a graphic in a circular shape and need text at the top
and bottom to be curved to follow the circular graphic.
Thanks,
Ray

I used to know how to do this but aging is a...well you know.
Anyway, I have a simple graphic that has a white background.
I want to put it on a webpage that is not white. So I
want the white area on the graphic to be transparent.
Easy way to do this?
Thanks,
Ray

Yes, however the background is also affected.
I want the glow only on the text, that's why I use the magic wand
to pick only the text.
-
Sorry if this is not the correct forum for this.
I am trying to apply the Glow effect onto some text.
I basically create the text, use the magic wand to pick the
text and apply the glow. What results is not what I am looking
for.
What I am trying to do is re-create the effect of the intro to
the "24" show on TV. Except I am using text rather than the
number 24.
Would there be another way to do this?
Thanks,
Ray

Could you upload and post links to both pictures,
so we can see what we're talking about? Thx.
Thanks. I think I've figured it out....
-
I have two pics. I want one to be the background and the other
to be merged on top. I'm sure I should use layers, but am
not having any luck. I also need to position the second pic
in a special location. I can't seem to be able to actually see
both pics at the same time?
Comments?
Thanks.

Effect submenus aren't "folders" but dictated by the plugin author. Try placing the DLL files directly in the Effects folder.
Ah!!! That seemed to do it!!
Thanks a ton!!
Now to actually try it!!

Ok, couple of problems off the bat, character kerning.
Also, I have a circle. I want "ABCDEFG 12345" circular on top
of the circle, centered from left to right. I also want "HIJKL"
circular on the bottom, centered from left to right. How to get
the HIJKL?
This is good though....
Ray
Ok, unchecked the "clockwise" for the text on the bottom.
kerning probably needs some development work.....
Overall...a fantastic plugin!! Thanks to the author!!!

First of all, in my Paint.Net/Effects folder is empty
even though the Effects menu shows stuff in it???
I downloaded the Circle Text plugin and extracted everything into the Effects folder
but when I start up Paint.net, it's not there?
Ideas?
Thanks,
Ray
Read this thread: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2023
After trying everything in there, if you still can't get a plugin to work... post your troubles there.
I followed that thread initially when I downloaded...
OS: Vista Home Premium 64 bit, Paint.net v3.36 build 3158.38068
My file structure is such:
c:\program Files\Paint.Net\Effects\TextFormations\CSfiles\CircleText.cs
c:\program Files\Paint.Net\Effects\TextFormations\CSfiles\RotateText.cs
c:\program Files\Paint.Net\Effects\TextFormations\CSfiles\SpiralText.cs
c:\program Files\Paint.Net\Effects\TextFormations\dllfiles\CircleText.dll
c:\program Files\Paint.Net\Effects\TextFormations\dllfiles\RotateText.dll
c:\program Files\Paint.Net\Effects\TextFormations\dllfiles\SpiralText.dll
Re-start Paint.net and no TextFormations in the menu->Effects ????
Thanks

I haven't downloaded this to play with yet, but it looks pretty cool ... click or failing that, have a search for the Polar Transformation plug-in
hope that helps

Would love to be able to align text...say around an egg, or golf ball....
Please????
Or an easy (cheap) way to do this with another app???
Thanks,
Ray

Yes.
Awesome! I'll be sure to link to Paint.net homepage...

I can't seem to find the legal stuff.
I would like to include (for free) Paint.NET in a commercial product I am developing.
This would be the PC binaries only with no changes.
Can I legally do this?
Thanks,
Ray
Rotated Text and Graphics

So I have a graphic of a wall that is rotated to the left somewhat. I want to add text along with a graphic to the wall that follows the same amount of rotation so it looks more natural.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Ray
