  1. C'mon sharp, you know you want to do a tutorial on your sig and that wallpaper.
  2. Again, I must point you to our rules. You made a new topic about 15 minutes ago. viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3446 Any ways, use this tool: to select something, then to copy, press Ctrl-C, then open up a new image with this button: and Ctrl-V to paste it. And please press F1 in paint.net to read the help file, before you post more, Im sure a lot of the things you need are in there. To make different selections use: :LassoTool: And for intermediate users the
  3. 1) This isn't a useless poll, I would like to see the amount of people that would like it. 2) I know that, thats why I posted a link to it in my thread. Im talking about a tutorials subforum for it. You know, where they have creations, newbie playground, textures and stuff? They should have a pixel art one. Although, if a moderator does think that its useless, ill remove it, I would like to see though. Anyways, what polls arent useless.
  4. That will be hard to do, make a gif, and you will have to move their legs frame by frame. Use this: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=28407&hilit=gif+image And read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.gif Use this: http://www.google.com And click this: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=How+do+I+make+an+animated+image%3F
  5. Press F1 in paint.net to view the help. The line tool looks like this: :LineCurveTool: and the pencil tool looks like: They are both located in the toolbox, and if you can see the toolbox press F5. Edit: You might also want to consider reading our rules: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3446 You are breaking number 6.
  6. Making part of an image blurred: Have you ever got an Idea for a blur gradient? Like when you drag the gradient it starts out as a big blur and gets less and less intensive? Well think no more, to do this: Duplicate your layer, then guassian blur/unfocus at ANY settings on your duplicated layer: On your duplicated layer, pick the gradient tool, and set it to transparent mode: :AlphaChannel: do a gradient on the image! This is REALLY useful for making images where you want a focal point.
  7. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=31813&start=0 There, thats the poll, if you like pixel art, i advise you to vote yes. If Im missing anything, please tell me, and Ill add it.
  8. Well, I would just like to know how many of you guys would like to have a pixel art forum. This isnt official of course, I am just wondering what the PdN community would like, and if we could persuade the mods to add a new pixel art tutorial sub forum. If you vote, I would appreciate if you answered these: Hidden Content: Have you made any pixel art before?Would you contribute with tutorials to the forum? Your level at pixel art?(Newbie,Beginner, advanced, expert) Additional comments(optional) Pixel art resources and tutorials: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=23132 http://pixeljoint.com/pixels/tutorials.asp?id=2252 http://pixeljoint.com/pixels/tutorials.asp?id=2253 What is pixel art? Hmm how to explain... Pixel art is working at art at a small scale, the rules are simple: You can only use the pencil tool, sometimes the fill bucket tool, but only for big pieces. NO EFFECTS. This means no blurring, no line tool, no feathering, Nothing but the pencil tool. An example of pixel art: Generally you want your pixel art to look 3d, but it all depends on your style. Before I finish writing this, I would like to repeat what I said: I'm not saying we are going to have a new pixel art sub-forum in the tutorials, this is just a poll to see what you would like, because i would like to know, maybe if the majority of people vote yes, we could get a mod to think about it. Also, I think this is the right part of the forum, its a discussion about paint.net and our forums, so move it if im wrong please. Discuss.
  9. It takes skill (on more intricate projects especially) and planning so your colors and lines match up. MUCH harder than letting pugins do all the work.... Mostly, I would say using plugins to make a image, like my space picture for example, takes skill too, but it takes more brain power as in what effect would do what to the picture, while in pixel art, you need to have patience, math skills for big projects, common sense, and a good understanding of colors, and what they look like at a big scale.
  10. Just to remind you, the link to find edges points to the animated image thread.
  11. Maybe I should make a poll asking if they would like a pixel art forum? If they majority wins, ill ask a mod, and show him the thread. Anyways, any suggestions on my latest pixel art?
  12. Also, you can get the trial of macromedia flash, and once you learn a little more about it, you can make animations very easy.
  13. My second pixel art, any suggestions on what to add? Also, a Fuzzy!!
  14. you read the ENTIRE comic already? there's four episodes with a ton of panels in each.... it took me a few days... Nah, thats why I said I wanted to read more. Off to read that, and pixel art! EDIT: Any ideas of what to add? In that comic, im at... the 327th page.... Once I get more experience in this, Im going to make a tutorial. Heck, they should make a whole new tut section for pixel art.
  15. Wow, thats amazing.... Must... read... more.... Thats my second attempt, Im going to turn it into a much bigger piece.
  16. Mine too. I got into it after reading AMD up to the last part the author made (its STILL not finished ) What is that? mind linking me? so time consuming... but addicting! my first attempt, using nothing but the pencil tool. Are we allowed to use the fill bucket? because that would help a lot. I really want to get into this, you shall now refer to me as the pixel art king!
  17. I love it when People say onemorelevel in their posts haha. Thanks yellowman, Im going to see if I can get a good mountain texture, and add on to this tutorial how to make mountains.
  18. Amazing! At first I thought this tut would just be adding eyes to them, but then I realized that its the whole thing! It really helps with the basics of smudging, thank you! P.S. Although try to work on the eyes, not that i dont like them.
  19. Yea, thats what I thought, I've got and Idea for an avatar and a sig, brb. EDIT: Here it is I dont exactly LOVE the text, but I how the sig came out. And again, its small, but works.
