I made a cover for my bands EP using: only the grass is not made with paint.net that was to much trouble for me and not as neat as this solution.

drew a line across the canvas filled both sides with a different colour and then use fragment blur to create a sorta tube schape. oh and i used curves +

I made an login interface for a not existing OS called Frostbite. if you've got any idea's to improve the logo i'll be glad to hear it.
