  1. @possum Love your fantasy scene. I agree with others, those curtains are brilliant, and I love your background setting. Unfortunately, while your spiders are good, I am a real aracnaphobe (6 legs no problem, 8 legs and I'm blubber). @Oma I have been away since you started your elephant. When I saw your initial sketches I didn't think I would like it. Since you turned her gold, you converted me. She's lovely. @welsh blue See what you mean about your drink, not up to your usual standard. I look forward to seeing the revised version, hopefully good enough to drink

  14. Depends what you mean by a cartoon. You can take a photo, put a white layer above it, adjust the transparency until you can clearly see the image underneath and then draw the obvious lines of contast on another layer. This gives the black and white hand drawn look. If you want a coloured cartoony look, try turning your layers from a diagonal line to a vertical centerline step. This gives the coloured comic book look. Overlay with an ink or pencil sketch (multiply mode), though this doesn't suit all images.

  16. It's not overdone, I think it is a great starting piece for heaps of designs. As it stands the centre isnt quite right, but the outside is fantastic. I had a little play with it and got some great results (I hope you don't mind, I wont publish them). Try these ideas, see what you think. 1, Put a twist distortion on it. 2, Run a lens effect on it (this can then be reduced in size, and make an interesting center) 3, Do an inside out distort Hope you like these ideas Po.
