  1. Okay, so here's my second attempt. I need help with it; kinda looks pretty awful.
  2. Emergency image, incoming! Help! First of all, it just looks really bad. The glow around the planet itself looks awful. Also, help on planet textures would be a God-send, mine have no depth. Oh, and any idea how to, like, add stars behind the planet. I tried using noise, but it made the stars look too uniform. I need some bigger / brighter and some darker. Plus the issue of getting them behind the planet. I'm relatively new here and to PDN - talk to me like a n00b.
  3. I made the sig I'm using now earlier on today, lemme know what you think!
  4. Awesome guys, thanks for your help, I appreciate it. I'll give those tutorials a crawl through when I have a little more time. It's just demoralising when I look around at what other people are creating, then trying something myself and I just can't seem to get it. Ah well, I guess it all comes with experience. Just learnt what a C4D is, and I used one in my Rammstein sig. Personally, I like it, but I would say that. Any criticism you have for it or anything I've made would help a ton. Cheers guys.
  5. Nice tut. Here's mine. I used the Line / Curve tool instead of the Brush, for the headphones.
  6. Yep, I forgot to check that anti-aliasing box. Thanks for the help, the edges look great now.
  7. Awesome tutorial, your outcomes look great. Here's what I came up with after like 10 minutes, anyone know how to soften the edges of the planet, they look really ragged and unfinished?
  8. Dude, awesome tutorial. Nice and easy to read and follow, and the red coloured thingies were a real help. Here's what I came out with. Loved the paint brush blob technique for the semi-transparent balls. Not much flow in this stock but I think it came out all right.
  9. Hey guys, I'm new here and new to PDN, and I'm looking for some tips and tricks to use when I'm creating stuff. I don't like following sig tuts; it kinda feels like cheating to me, and I wanna be able to experiment on my own using my own initiative. What I usually do when making a new tut, is create a gradient border, slap on a render, and then just go crazy with effects and layer properties. Almost always ends up looking awful. Click on the link in my tut to look for yourself. Pretty darn awful. So literally any help, tips, tricks, whatever, will help loooads! /beg
  10. Some outcomes I got from this tut: They suck because I suck at PDN.
  11. Made this earlier today. Lemme know what you think, an any improvements / changes that could be made. You can probably tell that I like black and white in artwork.
  12. Okay so here's my outcome. I hardly even followed the tut, I just did a load of random experimentation until I liked it. Using it as my sig now until I do summat better.
  13. Dude, that image looks sick. I wish I could create something like that
  14. Take a look at my Avatar / Signature image and let me know what you think. I'm very new to PDN, been messing around for about a week now, and these are the first images I'm proud of saying I created. I like the dude on the right better in my signature, the guy on the left didn't quite turn out like what I had in mind but I still like it overall.
