Hello everyone. I need some help with this tut. I can't fix this: "...3- Make an inner outline of the first shape on a new layer..." Maybe somebody can help?

Hello everyone. Maybe somebody can help me, I have some problem. I can't understand how I can make background b/w like others pictures in this tutor. Only what I can is that's eye with nice white background. Maybe somebody can tell where is mistake? Thanks.
