I've been trying to make a Doll Maker, and it's come to my attention that I can't figure out how to make a selected area transparent!!! I just want to select what I want and then mess with the opacity; is that too hard to make it do!?! I tried searching for this but turned up nothing. It'd be a really useful feature if it can't be done already.

Ahh, I see! That makes sense now, since there's a lot of other .dll files in the main folder as well! ...*Tries it. Nothing happens.* Okay, next step, re-installing!

Nope, nothing there. Maybe if I restarted my computer? I've done a lot, and I haven't turned it off in a while. *Goes to try it*

Okay, everything seems to work okay, except for one, eensy-teensy little thing: My PDN does not seem to have a "Paint With Custom Brush" option. I've looked all over for it, but it just isn't there. Perhaps I should ask its creator this question...

Hi! I use Paint.net to fix up my artwork sometimes, and this time my picture needed a lot of fixing! I scanned it in with glitter, but the glitter didn't scan the way I wanted it. I wanted it to sparkle like an old Black and White movie, but it didn't. (The picture is color, btw.) So I looked around here for something to help me, but the two plug-ins I tried failed miserably~ *-~-* They didn't do what they supposedly did in the pictures other people uploaded. I JUST want to add SPARKLES to places WHERE I WANT THEM, not just a randomly-generated effect. I'm just about to give in and buy Photoshop, because this is just too much effort to bother with. (Even though I can create some really cool glitter-like effects with just Gaussin blur, Glow, and Add Noise.) I wonder why there are no "Brushes" like Photoshop has? Man, those sure would save me some time! Or just something that automatically makes any white spot sparkle! That would be a MAJOR time-saver! Can anyone PLEASE help me?

Hi! I'm new to using Paint.net, and I've never been any good with making computer art, so I've never done it. But now I need to upload a picture, (it's a comic) and I need to put a space background in certain panels. Can someone please walk me through it?
