I don't that I disabled services i need. all my other programms are working. paint.net is the only one with this error. which services do you have in mind? in the meantime i tried some registry-cleaner but it seems that there is still something left which recognizes/remembers the problem when i try to reinstall paint.net. this could mean the registry isn't clean, yet or there's a problem somewhere else... but i can't think of a windows application which could cause problems on paint except of framework. i checked my antispy and firewall programms but no services are blocked which would have an effect on paint.net. i also checked my system for a virus but it's clean. hi, gn4711 i have the same problem. running vista, too but home premium. which framework.net do you have? many people wrote that this might be the solution. but they are all talking about framework 2.0 i think you can't run 2.0 on vista, just 3.5 which i have, too. so the next thing i tried was deleting pdn manually. i also deleted all registry files. did you tried that, already? well, unfortunally this didn't work for me either. did you find any solution for this problem??
