Thank you all very much! The capture below is from the control panel, but the regular app menu didn't tell me anything. The first one listed has advanced options shown below. The second one doesn't have an Advanced Options but is obviously a lower version even though it was installed later. The Geek App shows the August 10th version to be the App store version. Unfortunately something in Geek interferes with Gadwin ScreenPrint so no screen capture. So I'll try removing the August 31st version.

Any idea what i need to do? Thanks, Ron

Thanks much! , won't do what I thought it would do. I will revert to resizing the image in PowerPoint (familiarity plus can save the image in multiple formats including png) and then opening it or pasting it into a layer. Appreciate the help and kindness to a beginner, Ron

Hi, been using Paint for a year plus, and diligently look at [Help] and search the board for answers before I ask. I have four layers, one is selected (meaning it is in the blue row) and checked with the check mark. When I crop the selected and single checked layer, all four layers are cropped. I know I must be missing something, but can't figure it out. TIA, Ron
