  1. Hey Hitman-X, Thanks for the advice, it worked perfectly. I went into the "Services" control panel and stopped "LVCOMSer", ran the installer and it installed and runs with no problems now. Thanks again everyone for your advice.
  2. Hitman-X, Currently I have not plugins installed and I updated my .net to v3.5 SP1 two days ago thinking that may be the problem. However, your third option I think may be a winner due to the fact that I installed a Logitech QucikCam just last week. That never even crossed my mind but at this point seems like the most logical reason. I'll experiment with that when I go home today. Thanks
  3. Hey guys, sorry about the delay. I have attached a zip file that contains 4 pdncrash logs. They are probably all the same since they all occurred around the same time, each time I launched the app. logs.zip
  4. Yeah, I have not altered the log in any way. I'm trying to install the latest version which is v3.36. I'm at work now but will attach the logs later tonight.

  8. I had the latest version of Paint.Net installed and worked fine last week. However, I tried to launch it this morning and it kept crashing. I tried to do a repair from the "Add Remove Programs" applet but it did not resolve the problem. So I decided to uninstall it and then reinstall it. After uninstalling it I ran the installer, it goes through 2 extraction screens, then about five seconds later I hear the error "doink" noise that Windows makes when its not happy. I reinstalled .Net 3.5 SP1 rebooted and tried again, same thing. I tried removing all Paint.Net registry entries from CURRENT_USER and LOCAL_MACHINE, tried again, same thing. I verified that there was no Paint.Net directory in "Program Files". I did a disk cleanup to remove all temporary files and tried again, same thing. I ran the "Windows Installer Clean Up" as suggested in another forum but there were not entries for Paint.Net so that was not an issue. As a last resort I tried installing an older version (2.62) that I had sitting on my computer. Still the same thing. I'm not getting any type of error, just that annoying "doink" sound. Anyone help would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need any more info from me. Also, I'm running XP Pro SP3.
