  1. Yellowman, Thanks for the help. Your suggestion worked great! TLWV
  2. I am working on a banner for my web page. It will be fairly plain, but I'm having trouble layering the image I need. My company logo is on a white background. Opening a .png form of the logo in PDN, I have the image only at the correct size I need. Then, I created a background that was sized to fit the banner space I have on my web site. I next imported the image, but my newly created background size changed and became too wide. (It seems that even though my image is showing up in the .png format with the background stripped away, when I import it to my pre-sized background it takes on the dimensions of the original image and background.) Because I don't fully understand the layering process, I don't know how to get the image only (which again is the correct size to fit my banner space) to merge with my newly created background without the newly created background becoming way to wide. 3. I went to their web site, found the plug in and it worked like a charm! Took about 5 min. total! Thanks for the great suggestion! TLWV
  4. Yes, absolutely. The piece I am designing is for their use.
  5. I am a novice with P.N. although I like the features I've found here. Can someone help me with a problem I have? I scanned a persons signature as a bmp. image that was on a white sheet of paper. I want to only have the signature without the white background. Can the signature be pulled out or the background made transparent? Should the image be saved as another file type? Any help would be appreciated. TLWV
  6. Thanks to all who have offered assistance. I have been playing around a lot more with P.N. and I have been able to layer items together to create the logo design that I needed and wanted. I am still quite a novice with this software, but have appreciated it's featrures and loook forward to continued learning. TLWV
  7. I tried a few things over the weekend that seem to work. I created a box with a white background the size that my website header template requires. Then, I centered the logo, which also has a white background, in that box and merged the two layers together. Once I placed that new design into the header, things showed up as they should. The one final step I would like to take is to eliminate the border around the first box I created, but haven't figured that out yet.
  8. Thanks someone93. Can you give me an idea about how to go about doing that? TLWV
  9. Thanks for the tips on this subject. I did try to resize my logo and it did distort at the size needed, which is larger than it currently is. So I had another idea. The background layer for the logo is white. If I could create a white layer that is the correct size for the web banner and then add the logo as a top layer over that, I could then save that creation and place it on the web page. BUT, I don't know if that can be done in P.N. Any comments or ideas would be appreciated. TLWV
  10. I am new to P.N and am also fairly new to web site design. I have a company logo, created by someone else, that I need to put on my web site as a banner on the home page. The web site software I am using requires the logo to be a different size than it currently is ( measured in pixels). How can I adjust the logo size? BTW, as best as I can tell the logo has two layers. Thax for any help. TLWV
