  1. It sounds like you are looking for something that's called "Dissolve," and I believe that it's in the plug-in section. Let me look... Edit: Yup, found it. It might not be the look you are looking for, but if you think outside the box, you might find a use for it.
  2. Hey, MadJik, I rarely visit the forums these days, but when I read through your tutorial, I accidentally made this while struggling to make something. I created my own texture, and used a bit of your tutorial to create the abstract pattern.
  3. As much as I liked this idea, it doesn't work for me. No matter what I type in the search, "tree", "cat", I get 0 results every time.
  4. Awesome, another Hokies fan here! It is very possible to do that in PDN. Many layers to do that, but it's doable. Edit: There's an inexpensive way to build an image similar to this, and that's with SketchUp and Kerkythea Rendering System. Both are free. Edit 2: To prove my point, take a look: http://fc03.devianta...eii-d35v8eh.png
  5. Thanks, Sarkut. I think the OP need to amend the post and clear it up.
  6. So it goes into the File Type folder or Effect folder? Sorry for these questions, the OP didn't make it clear where it should go.
  7. Quick question, is this a file type or a plug-in?
  8. Very easy to do in PDN. Pryochild's Gradient Bars with default color. Polar Transformation set to Rectangle to Polar, set scale to 200. Repeat if needed. New layer. Draw ellipse with fill color option enabled. Gaussian blur very high setting (I used 100). Merge down. Grim Reaper to kill white color instantly. Done. Edit: Background is actually transparent, forgot to add an effect to make it so. But it'll give you the idea how to do that.
  9. This can be done in PDN. Hint: Oma's sword tutorial, many, many layers, and lot of patience.
  10. Do you have a gallery? If not, you could set one up, and we all can help you by giving you tips. I would like to see your attempt, please, so I can see what you are gunning for. And I don't care if you think it may be bad, we all got to start somewhere, and with practice and watchful eyes, you'll get better. I promise you that.
  11. Something like this? L3RON's tutorial is a good start. Edit: When I was making mine, I wanted a good replication of the helmet, and found this web site to be very helpful.
  12. BlendMode is working fine. It's the operator that's not doing it right. Let's say you want layer A to "blend" with layer B. Highlight and click on layer A, CTRL+A (to select all), and CTRL+C (to copy). Then highlight and click on layer B. Run Effect>Tools>BlendMode. Click on "Copy from Clipboard" option. Select linear dodge from the list. Click ok. Done.
  13. Simon, I was wondering if there was a plan to add a function like jitter?
  14. Billy, I'm just wondering if you were referring to PS' "Save For Web" option, and their "Web Safe" color profile. Is this what you may have been talking about? As far as I know, PDN doesn't have that kind of capability. I'm not sure if that would be needed, as IE and other web-complaint browsers should properly render the PNG images. Maybe you could look into performing a color calibration for your monitor?
  15. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Mathematically, it wouldn't be possibe to go beyond 255 because as EER said, 255 is fully opaque. That is akin to asking the AM frequency to become FM frequency, which I'm sure might (emphasis) be mathematically possible. Using PS' layer opacity as an example, 100% in PS is fully opaque. Apply that logic to PDN, 255 times 100% is 255. Can't get any further than that. Granted someone, a master perhaps, that's a mathematician theorist might argue with me.
  16. brad, wouldn't this be easier with BoltBait's transparency plug-in? You could move the slider all the way to the right.
  17. I wonder if Jerry is still upset about Rick locking several topics that has something to do with v4.0?
  18. Well, which one is the best of the two?
