--> Hey, thanks! Good approach. Somehow I always overlooked the coordinates :-) For the moment, this is a good workaround. Still, the one line cropping thing would make the whole approach much faster. It's just easier to click a button again and again while watching the image been trimmed into the exactly right shape. Hello all, first: a big thank you for your effort with paint.net; it's a joy to work with it and I use it daily - often for hours - when I fine-tune images for technical documentations. From this point of view comes my request here: Often I have to trim images which a technical author carelessly has cut (there are leftovers around the desired image which must be removed to look good). Currently, I target the desired area using the marking tool and then press the crop image button. But often, I will select a line or two too much (because it is not so easy to see the border of an image because of the shadow drawn around the image work space by paint.net) and then I have to undo and redo the selecting. Now to the suggested improvements: 1) Ability to disable the shadow around the image work space (for better visibility - I know, this dropped shadow around the image work space looks good but it would be cool to be able to disable it if desired) 2) an optional button on each side of the image work space which - when pressed - crops the image by one line on that particular side (see possible technical proposal in attached image). This should be very easy to implement and would dramatically improve the speed when working with the fine-tuning (cropping) of hundreds of images. ---------- When saving an image, the opened File save dialog box doesn't allow to scroll down with the mouse wheel. Everywhere else in paint.net, the mouse wheel works exceptionally well except in this dialog. If you work with hundreds of documents, it is a pain to every time having to scroll to the bottom of the dialog with the scroll bar (to see what was the last image name) and then to enter the last image number plus one (e.g. If last image was img101.png, then I would enter img102.png). Here I suggest the following improvements: 3) Get the mouse wheel to scroll this dialog box 4) Provide an option where the file save dialog box automatically is scrolled to the bottom when opened 5) Provide an option where the last image name (last - by alphabetical sort order) is parsed and if there is a number at the end of the file name (e.g. img101.png) then take this number and calculate an automatically suggested name of e.g. img102.png) If some of this could be implemented, this would be nice.
