thanks. in the end i used another computer to install paint.net, then i copied it across on a memory stick to mine. also when i copied the folder in which i had saved PND into onto my desktop i could run it from there so i'm verry happy now.

i have been trying to download paint.net 3.36 from a link from the paint.net website(download.com. it dowloads ok but when i install it a message pops up "a network error has occurred while attempting to read from the file: C:\users\matthew\desktop\paint.net\staging\ Paint.Net_909895410.msi" when i click okit says "there was an error while installing paint.net (1603) fatal error during installation. What is that all about and what can i do to make it work. HELP!!!!!
