  1. Beautiful work here, however there are a couple of problems with the lighting and shading. The silver spiders look as if you just applied gradients with no regard to the light coming from the moon. For example, on the back part of the silver spiders, it is dark on top and light on the bottom, but on the front part, it is light on top and dark on the bottom. Kinda doesn't make sense at that angle. The perspective could use some work as well. But other than those issues, it looks great. I especially love how you did the folds on the curtains.

  5. IIRC, I think Simon made a plugin that let you see alpha mask results instantly. Edit: Here it is: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=24191 However, it does not allow for use with the line tool, so maybe that could be requested as possible feature.

  13. Hey I know that tut (looks at sig). Edit: I don't see any problems with the smudge plugin (that's what I used). I dont remember the exact settings I used but I remember that I used the default round circle brush and adjusted the quality (at the bottom) to make it as similar to the smudging in the tut as possible. Hope this helps. Edit 2: P.S: I made quite some time ago, so I'll have to go back and check what I did. Edit 3: When I got to the black smudging, I brushed in black and duplicated the layer a couple of times. I then used a high rate (somewhere around 80+) with the default circle brush at various sizes to smudge all of the layers "irregularly". Then, I adjusted the opacity on all of the layers. Hope this makes sense.

  21. The first two are pretty simple, basically smudging and clipping masks. The effects in the next two involve distortions (twist, bulge, power twist), smudging, and layer modes (lighten only, normal, and darken only basically). P.S: I have Photoshop Elements 4...but it really sucks.

  23. If that gets any thinner it could be considered a userbar . @Himself: The elephant is very nice (you made it yourself right?), but I dislike the green glow and background. The perspective and is also off. Four sigs: Edit:Added 1 new sig. Edit2:Added 1 more new sig.
